These are some of the people in & around his weight. Not to mention others we may not know on the come up. I think Davis is a good fighter but I'm not sold on special. I feel it has been told hes more special than hes shown but we will see what happens when he fights other highly regarded people. You can't just be special by your promoters saying it, you have to beat respected fighters & it's not a forgone conclusion he beats all or any of the fighters I named.

Nah. Dude has the personality of a potato. I think he could gain some momentum playing the villian role like Floyd and Broner but they need to put him through a speaking class or something. Dude gives horrible interviews and always sounds like he's punch drunk

You don't think the main reason people know Tank is cause of Mayweather tho? Floyd co-signing him as the future etc. Not sure how much of it is legit but 1 Million on the gram ain't nothing to scoff at. He hasn't done half of what AB has done & has surpassed him in followers. That cant solely just be Tank can it......

He needs to take off Mares and then Farmer and afterwards there should be no reason for him not to fight Loma!! Seriously if they feel that way about him let him test the waters against Loma. I think the kid has talent so why not make it happen.

Exciting yes but Special...

Tank Davis is an exciting puncher that's easy to market but special...no. He looks great against the right type of fighter and if he's matched well he'll be a big earner. As a fighter he's some what limited like Top Rank's Lopez or GBoy's Garcia. Against a good boxer with footwork Davis will have real problems and at 135 he'll fight bigger stronger fighters. Davis's best win was against Pedraza at 130 but that's only because Pedraza simply stood and exchanged with a puncher. In a rematch, at 135, I'm not sure Davis beats Pedraza. As mentioned, Davis can be a special attraction but as a fighter... a master boxer like Lomachenko eats him up.
