I'm not even a so called expert, but feel I have enough boxing knowledge to see this fight as it is. Khan will come out strong and fast the first few rounds, may be ahead mid way, then its all Crawford. Crawford probably has more tools at his disposal than any welter out there. He can also crack hard enough to stop Khan. Credit to Khan for taking the tougher fight. (vs the Brook fight)

If Khan beats Crawford, or even if it is a narrow win for Crawford, I will show back here and call myself an idiot, and never post here again. (That is how embarrassed I will be)

      So much, I agree!

Still, Danny Garcia is controlling his own show, the date is on Big FOX (with the coming FOX push too), and Danny Garcia is likely facing a second FOX date with the win, which he'll likely control too.

He'll likely end up getting that $5m over the two fights, have his sponsor money go up with the extra eyeballs, be positioned to the Thurman/Spence/Porter-Ugas winner in 2020, and do all of this on his own terms, without getting set up by Arum.

Also, in case you didn't know, Top Rank's offer to Angel Garcia for Danny Garcia was actually $3m, not $5m.
I know it was for $3 million...that’s why I said ORIGINALLY that I was surprised that it wasn’t negotiated. I feel he could’ve gotten $5 million if it had of been negotiated. I feel ya with controlling his own career and making that money over the next two fights. He could’ve made a POSSIBLE $5 mill and exposure beating a P4P #1. I mean that should translate into a hell of a lot more by the end of fight #2. Anyways another time

Porter and Thurman dont even say his name

TC takes the fights he can...and hes not digging up LWs lmfao....
Great post. This is the best available fight for both fighters. For Crawford he is defending against a high profile fighter who is trying to prove one last time he can compete at the top and Khan always comes to win. Crawford is expected to win and a highlight reel KO would help his stock (if it comes). It's a big enough name to push for PPV, but I think it shouldn't be in UK or US.

Why would Angel be the one to call back or negotiate anything, though? Al Haymon is there for a reason, right?

Just imagine, Errol Spence Jr beats Garcia in a good PPV fight, and then beats the Porter-Ugas winner to pick up the WBC title in a second good PPV (Pacquiao will say what he wants, but if he beats Broner, I see the next fight being Mikey Garcia, if he beats Spence, Danny Garcia, or possibly Keith Thurman, before he gets all the way sharp). Errol Spence has a tentative date for AT&T Stadium, and he calls up BoMac, Crawford's guy, and tells him "hey, we don't think that Bob Arum will let you know, but we really want the fight, Jerry Jones is fronting $8m to host the fight in Texas, and we'll split everything with your camp 65/35 in Errol's direction, since we're bringing most of the money. Let your camp know what's up, but wanted to let you hear the offer straight from me".

How do you figure that ends up going?

Terence Crawford is fighting Amir Khan, who looked so terrible in his last fight that he's been peddling the "I looked bad on purpose" story. lol.

The April fight will happen, and then Crawford will likely still not leave ESPN for any offer and still fight Luis Collazo

TBRB have Khan ranked at 9 in the division. Apart from Shawn Porter fighting Ugas (ranked at 7) this is the only fight between two top 10 ranked WWs. It's a good fight that will entertain us for as long as it lasts, whether that's one round or twelve.

It's a whole lot better than Crawford fighting somebody Khan dealt with several years ago. Crawford will probably have to fight Kavaliauskas after, who is also top-10 ranked.

If Crawford fights Khan, Kav and then another top-10 ranked WW this year then that's a damn sight better than what I expected from him this year. If we get a unification later in the year then I don't care what has come before it. All the top welters are busy until May/June at the earliest so nobody should have a problem with this fight, unless you want to see Crawford against a contender in his prime looking for his first title shot.

Crawford is fighting the TBRB #9 fighter, will fight Mean Machine, then will again target the TBRB #9 or #10 fighter, lol.
