I understand the way odds work, but before anybody bets a penny, the on staff 'experts' have to create a price. and that price (odds) is not market driven at that point, it is the respected opinion of the know staff expert. From there on, the odds will move depending on where the money is. But ALL starting points begin with AJ heavily favored. This is not a 50/50

Sportsbooks do not care about who is going to win in any match up, they care about EVEN action, and yes everything is market driven. Sportsbooks follow betting trends and anticipate action, the opening line is very important... please put aside your AJ bias, Sportsbooks do not make predictions they offer a price which they believe will garner EVEN action... thats it.
