And you still didn't answer the question. If Oscar can make PBC fighters into stars why can't he make his own fighters into stars?

Canelo was just a free agent couple of months ago and resigned. Dlh had the biggest star in the sport.. haymons fighters are basically Oscars old fighters. Oscar got his money back for them through court though. They're all making squat without oscar rn hence begging to fight canelo.

Nobody is gonna become a star on dazn. Golden boy doesn't have nobody for mikey to fight that's a big deal.

Mikey is the worst nightmare of all these promoters. A fighter that stays a free agent so that he can call his own shots and make his own decisions.

They don't want him to be too successful. If his way of doing business spreads to other boxers it would ruin their gravy train.

Canelo would have gotten that deal without Oscar. Canelo doesn't really need Oscar or GB to promote him anymore, he could get paid on his own. It be said if Oscar was able to turn his other fighters he's had under contract for years into stars and get them paid, but he hasn't.

They are loaded with great fighters but how many of them are Superstars???
It takes a special kinda fighter to be a Star!
Oscar can say WTF he wants in order to recruit talent to his stable... That's his job, he is a promoter after all...
But there's no guarantee a fighter will be a superstar regardless of how much success he has in the ring.
It takes a combination of skills, talent, looks, personality, and promotion to become a superstar!

For the same reason Al Haymon and Bob Arum don't have any Superstars in their stable!

Very well said. I dont think there is anyone who could have made a better break down. Mikey is a great fighter and he is no where near becoming a super star. He would have been a super star under Golden Boy, beating Cotto, fighting Mattysse on the Canelo under card then fighting Jorge Linares.
