I was just thinking that myself, in his career he never really got to bully around a much smaller guy (maybe against Marquez but obviously this was way different to that) and figured if he could pocket some cash to blow on booze and fast cars while doing it, why not.

At any rate, like I said in another thread, I think this was just naivete on the part of Nasukawa and his team. They figured this fight was going to enhance this guy's clout one way or another but they clearly had no idea what they were letting him in for. The guy was so small he managed to make Floyd look like King Kong, for Christ's sake. I think all these theories about it being a yakuza scam are far fetched, never assume malice when ******ity suffices as an explanation.
