He was very talented with incredible stamina and did not need to cheat to win.
    Hmmm, wonder why?

Hawk Time!! He’s one fighter I’d like to see Fight at 140. I love Floyd. But I’d still like to see it.

Great fighter and champion but his greatest weakness was he was an unknown. He was a high risk low reward fighter; That's why so many fighters avoided him outside of Alexis Arguello.

Also, he had a proposed deal to fight Ray Leonard but ultimately priced himself out of the fight. In addition, after the Arguello fights, he developed medical issues; Including a detached retina and substance abuse problems which inevitably derailed his career.

He was great. And very fun to watch, would have been some matches that would have been real interesting to see, like him against SRL

That being said, his legacy definitely is tainted by the incident. I dont know how knowledgeable he was himself about that thing but still, people wont forget. I hope Lewis never got to train another fighter again

However, it was never proven that Pryor did anything wrong. The Florida State Athletic Commission essentially exonerated and vindicated him of any wrong doing. They never found any traces of anything improper in that bottle incident.

I agree though that his trainer Panama Lewis was a scumbag and deserved rightfully so a prison sentence for his role in that Luis Resto case; Where he removed the padding from his gloves and also dipped his hand wraps in plaster of Paris.

Due to lack of testing at the time all fighters were using substances that would be considered illegal nowadays. It'd be hypocritical to ignore that fact if you were a fan of any of the fighters from the 80s. Pryor just happened to have an idiot trainer thay didn't pay attention. He KOed Arguello easier in the rematch with Emanuel Steward in his corner and with close surveillance.

Aaron Pryor is definitely one of my all time favorites to watch, one of the most exciting fighters of modern day boxing. Would've been great if the fight with Ray Leonard would've been made.

LOL. No, he didn't. He was great and he was tough. But cheating messes with legacy if you didn't get away with it.
