Unfortunately Mosley and a lot of fans feel that way. And Shane still sounds jealous of Floyd for some reason. Here are the details of both careers.
1. Shane started his pro career only 3 years before Floyd. A decade is 10 years so what is Shane talking about different eras. The very definition of an era is a fixed point in time from which a series of years occurs. Shane started in 1993 and his last fight was in 2016. Floyd started in 1996 and his last pro fight was 2015 if you want to go by the Berto fight.
2. Shane fought at Lightweight from 1993 to 1999. He won the IBF lightweight title in 1997 from Phillip Holiday and defended it 8 times before moving to Welterweight. None of those fighters were on anyone’s P4P list or Hall of Famers. He then won the WBC Super Welterweight belt from Oscar in 2000 and defended that belt 3 times before losing to Vernon Forrest. None of the fighters in the 3 title defenses before losing to Forrest were top P4P fighters or Hall of Famers. He then beats Oscar again to win the WBC Belt again and adds the WBA belt. In his next fight in 2004, he lose to Winky Wright and then lose to him again in a rematch. He then wins the WBC belt again against Collazo in 2007. In his next fight, he loses to Miguel Cotto. Then he wins the WBA belt again against Margarito in 2009. His next fight in 2010 was against Floyd and he loses.
3. Floyd starts out at Super Featherweight in 1996 and eventually beats Genaro Hernandez (32) for the WBC belt. He defends that belt 9 times, one defense against Diego Corrales (24). In 2002, he moves up and wins the WBC lightweight title against Jose Luis Castillo (29). He defends that belt 5 times, once in a rematch with Castillo, before moving up agains and grabbing the WBC Super Lightweight belt from Gatti (33) in 2005. In 2006, he moves up again and gets the WBA welterweight belt from Zab Judah (29). In 2007, he moves up again and beats Oscar (34) for the WBC Super Welterweight belt. Floyd was (28) when he fought Oscar. From 2007 to 2014, Floyd fights Hatton (29), Marquez who moves up in weight (36), Mosley at (39) Floyd was (33) when he fought Shane. He fights Ortiz (24), Cotto (32), Guerrero (30), Alvarez (23) Floyd was (35) when they fought. He fought Maidana (31) twice. Floyd was (37) for both fights. Floyd fought Manny (37), Floyd was (38). He fought Berto (31), Floyd was (38).Comment

Why do people keep repeating this nonsense?
1. Floyd agreed to fight Pac in 2009. It wasn't him that walked away from the fight.
2. Floyd is OLDER than Pac. What sense does it make to "wait him out?" Was Floyd not going to get even older in that time too? Or was he going to magically age in reverse?
3. When Floyd was young he asked to fight Shane Mosley several times. But Shane avoided him because he was too risky of an opponent for too little pay.
Those are just the facts.Comment

So, offering a fight (no terms discussed) means a fighter HAS to fight another fighter no matter what. OK, gotcha, pal.Comment

See, this guy bought in all the way with Floyd's strategy.
Most the dudes Floyd fought that you claim were the best at the time had already been knocked out, beaten to a pulp and embarrassed way before little Floyd would fight them. Then they win a fight against a name when they're old and he's suddenly eager to get in the ring with them.
His career from 2007 on was a masterfully executed ruse.
Thread closer right here.Comment

at some point, you're going to have to move on with your life. We get it, you love pac, you think he might have beaten Floyd if they fought in 2009. But they didn't, and when they did fight, pac was beaten fairly easily. Just accept it, you can't change the past no matter how much nonsense you post on this site.

I’m glad and surprised that so many are aware that Mosley ducked Floyd multiple times when he was in his prime because the reward wasn’t enough, or was it toothaches and vacays.
I’m actually embarrassed for Mosley in this interview cause he’s a damn liar.Comment

They're apparently facts in your mind, but hey, keep building up that 'wall of defense' for your idol Floydie.Comment
