Thats exactly what Chollo told me on the phone. I don't have the muscle fibers to compete with him because I'm white

Fuck no he wouldn't receive the same hate if he was white. As a matter of fact none of the American fighters would. That's why many fans live vicariously through Eastern European boxers because they closely resemble them and in addition, there aren't any American White fighters left and the Eastern Euros are the only ones who are left in the game. It's just tribalism. People are going to support their own and especially the ones who closely resemble them no matter what.

Yeah.... Lets see him fight canelo again now that Floyd is in his ****in 40s.

Some people refuse to give him any credit for anything. Now that he beat up some kid in a friendly exhibition, the world is coming to an end.

So this has got me thinking.... Would floyd be receiving this same hate id he was white?

Floyd is a bonified atg of our great sport, Def not a coward like some are saying.

But later in his career floyd always needed an advantage, he didn't fight Canelo without a catch-weight, he started to seem eager to fight PAC once he was stopped by marquez.

How he's acting lately with the Connor and Japan midget boxing shows that kinda cherry picking mentality.

You can't have it both ways, conning people into fraud fights, going soft touch lately then being a respected gladiator.

Canelo and GG fought unworthy opponents and got criticized for it. Doesn't matter your race.
The reason why Floyd gets extra hate is that he played the villain for years and you have a lot of simple folks who STILL have a seething hate for the guy because they think of him as the bad guy. They'll always be against him.

Great black sport men like LeBron, NFL stars, woods are loved.

                  For some reason Floyd isn't...

Leonard, hagler, holyfield, Robinson were loved.

                  Fore some reason Floyd isn't.

Maybe Floyd is a complete garbage human being after all?huh

Had Floyd not retired after the Hatton fight because he had accomplished everything, cancelling the Mayweather/ODLH II fight, and waiting for Cotto and Manny to start showing weakness... I was a big fan of Floyd but it was his return that rubbed me the wrong way. Pulling Marquez up from 2 weight classes to show how he was better than Manny (only to wait another six years) plus the catchweights and everything. Floyd may be TBE as far as record goes, but Oscar gets more respect (as a boxer) IMO just because he fought whoever, whenever and didn't care about keeping the 0.

Nope, there's a long history of folks selling in the same manner as Floyd.

Start with Daniel The *** Mendoza. He invented quite a lot of the boxing industry operates and how fighters sell. He was the first man to rile an audience using the press. He was the first man to fight defensively, and he is the first man to really become rich from boxing.

He was ***ish during the Spanish inquisition. For those who don't know, that's when Christians hunted down ***s to kill and torture them in the name of God.

Danny's family come from modern Spain to England where Danny is born.

Daniel grows up scrapping because he's a ***.

Daniel takes to fighting for money and notices folks are not there to see him box but rather be beaten and are rather sore that he isn't.

Daniel pens a letter to the local newspapers challenging the famed and respect Humphries. The audience is pissed off. A *** talking ****, publicly, to not just the Christian champ but the whole Christian community.

They wanted to see him busted up good so what does Daniel do?

He doubles down on ***ish stereotypes. Now that he's got the audience angry he's gonna really stick it to them by charging them to see his fights. Daniel The *** Mendoza invented ticket sales for a sporting event. Not just boxing, all of sports.

Now this loud-mouthed *** has gotten greedy....which only helps his sales because more and more people are " Have you heard"ing the **** Danny says and does.

The fight happens, Mendoza busts out defensive boxing for the first time in boxing history since the ancients. The audience is livid. Coward they shout, but of course Daniel The *** Mendoza fights his way to a safe victory becoming the champion of england.

Now the stage is set. Mendoza is now Mayweather. He can brag all he wants about his superiority and all it does is piss off the English that much more causing his pockets to swell. Hated, but absolutely guaranteed to bring in the money. What do they say about him? He talks, he's flashy, he's scared to stand and fight, he's greedy, and he's dishonest....fits for Mendoza, Mayweather, or both?
