I'm with you on this one. The fact that he's 5'5", 118 lbs. and has that level of power is shocking. Neither Payano nor McDonnell had been stopped before, and he wiped them both out in the very first round. At 25 years old, Inoue is just entering his prime, and going forward he's just going to get better and better.

Inoue vs Payano is my KO of the year.

Honestly it was Gvozdyk over Stevenson but given the post fight ramifications to Adonis I can see why it would be in poor taste to give it to him. That really was KO of the year though given how Adonis had been a menacing puncher himself for years and a guy that was tough as nails. Chisora was just some b- or c level guy.

Whyte vs Chisora? Why, because it was last week?

          All better Knockouts:
          Inoue vs Payano
          Usyk vs Bellew
          Lemieux vs Sullivan
          Lopez vs Menard
          Berchalt vs Roman
          Povetkin vs Price

and those are just four off the top of my head.

I would have went with Mayweather's 1st round destruction of undefeated kickboxing and MMA sensation Tenshin "Ninja Boy" Nasukawa.

its funny how what i read happened, and what actually happened, leading up to the knockout, was different.
there were better 2018 KOs, by far.

Povetkin v Price was a nasty KO, forgot about that one.

Whyte's KO of Chisora was pretty eye catching but I felt that the ref's actions kind of helped create that. It was a close fight but the point deductions could have impacted how Chisora was approaching those final rounds thinking he needed a KO to win himself. He was pretty gassed and the defense was getting sloppier but i felt like there was more desperation in his approach after those penalties.
