It's not the fight anyone wants really, but it's understandable that he gets a shot if Wilder v Fury rematch.

The problem is that Hearn has been angling for this in-house fight for ages and whatever he says in public, he wants to make this fight more than the Wilder fight. That's what bothers people. I don't think anyone says Whyte is undeserving, it's just them prioritising this fight.
I agree Whyte has done enough to earn a title shot. More than most.

Call me crazy but I think it's possible that Whyte could cause an upset, that left hook puts people to sleep and he's improved since the first fight.

Don't get me wrong, AJ would be a heavy favourite but I think Whytes a bigger threat than old man Ortiz & fat boy Miller.

I’m not going to complain if he takes on two of those five by end of year although obviously I would prefer one of them be for all the Belts! Whyte has proven with his wins he is right up there, Wilder didn’t want to take the risk with him for a reason.
Respect to this answer. For the "ortiz ain't worthy" crowd, even AJ "says" he's on the worthy contenders list. If AJ himself sees that Ortiz is worthy, why y'all wasting everyones time with those nonsense arguments?

I have no complaints with anyone fighting Whyte, he is always gonna bring some dog to the fight. And he'll fight anyone not named Ortiz or Big Baby.

Wtf kind of unnecessary rematch is that!? 2019 sucks **** right off the bat.
I watched the fight live and did enjoy it. I haven't rewatched it yet, but this is how I remember the fight.

R1 Joshua completely dominated and almost knocked Whyte out. Whyte lost his mind at the end of the round and nearly whacked the referee with a wild swing. Joshua round big

R2 Whyte rocked Joshua hard, but couldn't follow up. Whyte round big

                    R3 Whyte round narrow.

R4, R5, R6, R7 All clear Joshua rounds. Rematch would be similar imo.
