He's gonna make a comeback like a classic shounen protagonist, like Goku bouncing back from getting his ass beat by Master Roshi. The Japanese love that stuff.
It’s actually Japanese tradition for a combat star in Japan to fight in what they call a “freak fight”. The bigger the beatdown the bigger the starpower. I know it’s weird but this has been confirmed by many Japanese reporters. Stars are actually encouraged to fight someone bigger and more dominant.

I agree. His reputation in Japan would depend on how they view the "freak fight". From a boxing perspective, how he lost reduces my view of him. I expected him to last a little longer. He had 9 minutes to survive and couldn't. As a professional fighter, even though not a professional boxer, I thought he would have a better chin.
That's just silly. If Ussain Bolt lost to Federer in a tennis match, would that have ended Bolt's career? Even the GOAT boxer Muhammad Ali arguably lost to the Japanese wrestler Inoki in a mixed-rules match. Would that take anything away from Ali's legacy as a GOAT boxer? People need to understand that these are different sports.
As for the Japanese, while honour does mean a lot to them, they're also known for being highly intelligent people. Japanese fight fans are smart enough to understand that boxing and kickboxing are two different sports. It would be silly for them to abandon Nasukawa just because he did badly in a different sport.
He did get a check hook in their that sent Money to the corner.
That should be a win just their.

That would explain Ali-Inoki, one of the most bizarre freak fights of all time, one which made Inoki a superstar in Japan. But then again, modern MMA was largely born from those freak fights in Japan.
I seriously doubt it. He lost to an all time great boxer while he is a kick boxer and not a boxer. If he is really game with the heart of a champion fighter he will get over this and continue to improve. Many famous boxers took bad beatings often many times and continued with a successful career. Sam Langford for example was KOed many times and always came back as good as ever.
