I'll pick Quartey by virtue of their comeback performances. Quartey is more impressive.

i think this fight is going to be more about who wants it more and who is more prepared.

if Forrest comes in well conditioned and fights from the outside using his jab without gassing i think he can win easier than expected. but if he gasses and gets lazy in the ring like he has since his come back a couple of times, well it's going to be a rough night.

same thing with Ike, if he comes in ready to go 12 rounds and the stamina is good he can make it a tough fight. using his jab to get on the inside to do work, cutting off the ring and making Forrest square up and fight, because i see Forrest trying to circle the forward plodding Quartey.

both of these guys are in a need to win basis, so i expect them to come out guns blazing, i just hope that they don't blow their wad and leave us to be forced into watching a hugging contest because they're too tired to fight.

i like both and i don't want to take sides, but going on physical stats i'm picking Forrest to win by decision from using his jab and boxing from the outside. i don't care who wins and wouldn't mind if Quartey wins, but on paper i have to say Forrest.....

Going into this fight Forrest has a huge height and reach advantage. it is going to be a difficult obstacle for Ike to overcome the Forrest jab if Forrest uses it and elects to box and not brawl. While it may or may not hurt Ike what he will be doing is racking up points. Qaurtey is really short for this division and his best times were at 147. However, Qaurtey still has a chance. This one is a toss up but I would lean more towards forrest.

With the way Ike has been boxing lately in his comeback, I'm going with Forrest by late KO or decision. He can't be lazy against Forrest like he did against Phillips.

Quartey was coming off a 5 YEAR LAYOFF when he fought Phillips...it was his second fight back. He beat Phillips who has always been a damned tough fighter and who has been floating around the top of the 154 division for years. He then fought Bojo and battered him in a fight where he eased off some of that ring rust and looked more fluid. His jab was a thing of beauty in that fight. Quartey has been fighting damned hard comp for coming back from a prolonged layoff and he will definitely be the sharper fighter when he meets Forrest.
