Many people here going in on Dana but boxing needs change, the fighters need choice. Talking about Dana owning the sport blah blah, the current and historical rule of boxing has been crooks and corrupt sanctioning bodies, it’s
much better we move towards more transparency.

I see the next era being one where there are levels to pro boxing, which will be awesome because right now there is no real bridge between amateur and pro. You’ll still have big PPV stars at the top end (but instead they’ll be top based on streaming not buys). And then you’ll have contracted boxers on DAZN, Zuffa etc that will provide the most amount of regular shows but get a decent wage. The age of PPV is dieing, there will never be a boxer earning $100m per fight again like Mayweather.

Seems like you are woefully misinformed and also your cheering of a crooked company is alarming. You probably a fan of Walmart creating poverty in communities by underpaying as well.

It's one thing to say that boxing needs change, it's another to assume Dana and Zuffa are going to be the answer we're looking for. I have no idea where anything the UFC does would indicate to you that their involvement would lead to greater transparency rather than less. And all those other things are pie in the sky. Mixed martial arts is a newcomer whose structure was created on the fly over the last twenty years, no one is going to come in and suddenly reform the sport of boxing to degree you're expecting.

**** Walmart and **** Dana White, although I don't think Golden Boy is putting any fear into the UFC. Hopefully Bellator can start giving them a run for their money.

Then how did canelo make 350 mil on dazn? Don't compare dazn to zuffa they are completely different. Dazn has two boxing promoters making those events where zuffa employs their fighters like a 9-5. They aren't even allowed to have sponsors.

It is already reforming and Zuffa is just one player in the market. Don’t get me wrong I’m no fan of Dana’s but they are part of the overall shift.

And I should also say, it’s tech and changing trends in how people consume content that’s driving this, not any one player. The main problem with the old school boxing regime is they are in the dark ages, Bob Arum, Finkel, King etc behave like the internet will never catch on, they’re dinoaurs and will be eclipsed by DAZN and co.

One advantage of having a UFC model btw is you shed
all the BS managers, the only people in today’s boxing model that benefit are the top end fighters (<5%) and the managers, suits, string pullers like Haymon, promoters
and of course the sanctioners, the most corrupt sporting bodies in the world. Get rid of all of them, they are the ones that take money out of fighters pockets to create a chaotic model that makes them necessary, it’s a complete and utter joke that means Boxing struggles for viewers.
