Comments Thread For: Whyte: Joshua's Team Might Not Want This Smoke Right Now

Dillian Whyte wants a "decider" against Anthony Joshua sooner rather than later but is unsure if his fellow heavyweight's team are keen for the duo to fight next. The long-running rivalry between the pair stretches back to a meeting in the amateurs, with Whyte recording a knockdown on his way to a points win.

yeah, the writings been on the wall for this fight for over a year...I'm sure Joshua doesn't want it though.

The fact that Whyte is the only person that doesn't understand that he is Eddie Hearn's sacrificial lamb kind of makes me feel sorry for him.

Sacrificial lamb? He’s gone from an unknown to a ppv fighter in 3 years with Hearn I’m sure he’s very happy with the position he’s in. If you can’t appreciate that you either know nothing about boxing, business or both.

You are a dumbass. Whyte has done more than any other fighter to deserve a title shot. Wilder ran from him and he has beat enough top ten opponents to deserve his first title shot. Plus he has beat AJ in the amateurs and rocked him in the first fight.

I’ve got a feeling Pulev will be fighting AJ at Wembley because Eddie won’t want Whyte to deflower him in front of 90,000. Although the rematch clause would give them another excuse to not unify

Think you need to remove your nose from Wilders anus. The guy who has avoided all unification fights despite holding a title way longer and fighting nothing but bums for 40 fights. Bodysnatcher got you fools shook fo'sho

nobody ran from Whyte. Whyte has gotten this title shot by being protected. His comeback trail has included: A gift win over Derek Chisora, Going 12 hard fought rounds with Helenius, 10 hard rounds agianst Dave Allen, Big KO wins over Ivica Bacurin, Ian Lewiston and Malcolm Tann (Domestic level C fighters, two of which were hand picked to be easy experience for Daniel Dubois) Then he knocked out an incredibly fat, old, out of shape Lucas Browne and then he was gifted a win over Joseph Parker in a very boring fight where both guys looked awful. Oh, and then Whyte was getting outboxed and outworked by Chisora again, and the Ref was about to gift Whyte that fight too but he got the KO. In that time he had a chance to actually EARN a title shot by fighting in a final eliminator for the IBF belt against Pulev. Whyte pulled out. Whyte also called out Ortiz to a fight, but when Ortiz took the fight he ran away from that also.

and beating someone in the Am's doesn't give you a title shot. Especially with Whyte's BS reputation in the Am's. He shouldn't have even been fighting Joshua

PPV fighter over there, still an unknown over here.

I'm actually getting to the stage where i'm thinking any kind of risk for Joshua is too much of a risk....The Hearns are killing the sport. At this stage we should have had the fight between Wilder and Joshua and Tyson would have been forced to up the anti else where and we would of course have found he's more than up to the job.But because of their greed and lack of confidence 'the three Amigo's' are ***ing it up for everyone .....Whyte is getting the reparation of being willing to fight all comers .........Joshua as a swerver.

I don’t even think Whyte believes his own nonsense. Whyte is not a real threat other than by catching Joshua with a lucky punch. Hearn and Joshua are very aware of Whyte’s limitations
