Broner, a four division world champion, was arrested on Sunday - due to an outstanding warrant related to several missed court dates for past traffic violations. I love Adrien Broner and as much as anyone; I would love to see him succeed in this sport. However, the kid has been a huge disappointment. What it's going take for him to get serious and grow up? The man has about 15 children for cry aloud by different baby mamas. What kind of role model is he being to his kids?

When the court orders you have to make a court appearance then you have to show up. To do otherwise is showing a contempt of court. Therefore, the judge will issue a bench warrant in order to arrest you and put you in jail.

Broner was cited because he did not have all of his credentials available when he was pulled over and was eventually detained by the traffic officer. Had he had his driver's license and insurance papers then the traffic officer would have never cited him for a court appearance in the first place.

The traffic officer would have simply wrote him a ticket while giving him an option of either paying the ticket, attending traffic school or to voluntarily appear before a judge to contest the ticket.
