Sure he does, he bring a knockout and that is EXACTLY why over rated Whyte will not fight him. Not before, not today, not ever. He’ll continue dodging him hiding behind his fan’s skirts who harp the same thing (he doesn’t bring anything) blah blah blah.

The ranking organizations are a complete joke. WBO doesn’t even have Ortiz in the top 15 but those that do make the top 15, half no one has EVER heard of. The IBF has him at 8 behind the following: Kabayal (who the f u c k), Wallin (who the f u c k), 9 loss Chisora (didn’t I say rating orgs are a joke?), Kownacki (18 wins ooooook), Helenius (who the f u c k). The WBA doesn’t have him in the top 15 but has two 7-0 fighters and a 14-0 fighter there. Get the f u c k outta here. But we’re supposed to rate if a fighter qualifies to fight so and so based on who they’ve fought with rating orgs like this? Boxing has gone to complete s h I t

I know. I can't wait. The 2 top guys in the world going head to head.

If only Wilder was "...all about one name one face" we could see that one.

I don’t believe Whyte fights Povetkin next, but Povetkin v Ortiz would be a good undercard fight for the Wembley April date, as would Povetkin v Parker.

I would love to see a younger fighter like Joe Joyce get a shot at Povetkin on the Joshua vs Whyte II undercard.

Who has Ortiz beaten let alone knocked out ... he stopped Jennings years ago (no knock out)and that's it .. look at boxrec see how few points he has. He's down at 8 and it's caused by not beating anyone credible.

Hes also not in the WBA for drug use, his suspension is up soon and he'll reappear. He's not in the WBO because he hasn't beaten anyone credible on their list since his title shot which is fair as he had a shot with the WBC.

Would love to see Whyte fight Povetkin next. I believe it’s a step up if he can’t get Anthony Joshua from his best career wins against Parker, Chisora, and Browne. Povetkin has been in the ring against Wladimir and Joshua and has wins against Takam, Charr, Price, & Rahman. Ortiz would be a better fight than Povetkin but I don’t think it will be made.

Look at every heavyweight on those lists! They are all nobody has beens and complete jokes! Two 7-0 rated in top 10 and a 14-0!? I mean cmon! These alphabet soup organizations and their meaningless belts and rankings are EXACTLY what Teddy Atlas screams about and for good reason! The HW division and their sanctioning bodies are complete laughable jokes. A man that has 4 times the number of heavyweight fights than 2 others and his only loss to a champion doesn’t make a list!? Further to that his drug test he popped for was clear back to 2014 while pedvetkin popped twice in 2016 and is still ranked 8 by the WBA.

You have to admit the sanctioning bodies are corrupt and are a joke

I agree 100%. Ortiz's name doesn't even come out of their mouth. It's time for the press guys to start asking them questions, the boxers and promoters about why Ortiz is being avoided. They will wait until he is clearly past it, then want to fight him. Whyte ran like a girl when he thought he was going to have to fight him.

Don't see why this fight would happen next. Seems Whyte is going to fight Joshua. Assuming Whyte loses, then Whyte vs. Povetkin might be a fight that would make sense so the winner can try to get themselves in position for another title shot in the coming years.
