GGG may move up to 168. But he will take the Canelo fight at whatever weight Canelo prefers. 160 or 168, GGG won't have much of a choice there.
I'm thinking Canelo will stay at 168. There are 2 Mexican/Mexican American and one British world champion at SMW, all undefeated. That means big money for Canelo, even without GGG.

Only reason I can think of people hating it is that it’s PBC and people treat promoters like sports teams.

End of the day, 2 million+ watching boxing on free TV is good for the sport. Especially on its debut.

Canelo says he won’t fight Mexicans anymore, and all the best fighters at 168 are Mexican. So if he does stay at 168 it’ll be for a bunch of Fieldings. (He would obviously avoid Groves & Smith)

If Canelo said that, and he wasn't playing around, I think it means he intends staying at 168, but won't be fighting for a real world title.

That wouldn't surprise me, tbh. We've seen how shameless Canelo is, and his fans seem gullible enough to swallow any shit he feeds them.

That was 100% my assumption. DAZN will be paying big money for Canelo to tour the United States and put his WBA regular on the line against a bunch of people
              Nobody has ever heard of.

But I predicted he would run to 168 after Canelo/GGG 2 when he noticed that Jacobs, Andreade, G, Charlo, Brant and Derevyanchenko are all waiting on him...it’s gonna be Canelo/Lemieux at 168 in May. You heard it here first haha (too bad there’s no real mexican population in Boston, because lots of people would drive down from Montreal)

I thought the PBC show on Fox was pretty good, but out of the three fights, precisely zero of them were happening for any sort of reason. It was just a show that existed to get wins for the Charlos and Breazeale. Which is fine, Top Rank and the others do the same thing, but I like a little more drama in my boxing. Maybe it was a good thing that Harrison won, to show that the B-sides will get a fair shake with the judges and that these PBC shows on Fox won't be totally slanted towards giving the A-side every advantage. The problem with the first slate of PBC shows on Fox is there's not a single fight I'm excited about. It's just showcase fights to build to bigger fights. Which may be a necessary evil, but as a fan, I can't force myself to get excited about showcase fights.

And when anybody calls him out on it, I can already see Oscar with his glassy eyed, coked up smirk saying, "Hey ... you know something .. Tripple G tied Bernard Hopkin's MW record with WBA regular defences .. and nobody said Gennady wasn't a real champion ..."

I'm picturing it as a legit bus tour too. Oscar driving, Canelo stopping to sign pictures and beat up local super middleweights at malls.
