Roach right!

Completely agree with Roach's comments about Ben Davison. Davison did a brilliant job to get Fury into the right condition, but he's starting to look like the Jose Mourhino of boxing. Too safe and too negative. Tyson Fury needs to step forward more when the time is right, as Roach said and be more offensive.

It was a great performance against Wilder, but especially as the bigger man, Fury could do much better and needs to be more positive. To be fair, even Joshua has shown that when the opportunity arises, he can step forward and take opponents out. OK, those opponents haven't been in the class of Wilder and Fury, but at least he has come forward when required.

Fury needs to go to another level now, and the man to take him there is Freddie Roach.

I think it would be ****** to criticise Davison for being defensive against a known puncher. Had this been Roach Then Fury would have been knocked out within 3 rounds in the name of excitement and what a load of bull. Fury fought the best fight, he moved his head and used the jab. Anyone who criticises that needs his head examined. When have you ever seen such a big man moving and fighting like Mayweather. Some people need a life.

Yeah I agree with Freddie. And it’s actually safer for Fury to walk him down and keep that distance short. He did well keeping away from big shots for 11.5 rounds but he was always going to be caught when he was on the back foot.

Wilder has no inside game, he needs distance to launch that haymaker. If he’s there for the taking and you can keep the pressure on he’s probably less dangerous.

If you noticed in the fight, it was when Fury opened up on Wilder in the 12th rd with a 1-2 that appeared to stun him a bit that Wilder replied and dropped Fury heavily. So that tells you that what Roach said is absolute bollox.

exactly!! fury stunned him, dropped his guard momentarily and seconds later ended up on the canvas. it was simply a lack of focus and abandonment of his defensive movement that landed him in that spot. we all know freddie isnt right in the head these days as great a coach as he was
