I don't have a problem with Jermell crying, however, when you talk as much trash as him and brother talk, you open yourself to being ridiculed.
The Charlos seem like they were overly coddled growing up. Hopefully, this is a turning point for them.Comment

because Charlo has Hurd in his head, and that's why he was (ineffectively) head hunting Harrison all night, because Hurd knocked him out.Comment

I really don't think that's it. Charlo against movers struggles a bit, but I thought his performance overall was fine. Harrison doesn't lose many rounds until he mentally breaks down and he held up this fight. I don't know how many times I stated pre-fight that this fight was being slept on so much. Skills wise, not many better than Harrison at 154. Charlo in the rematch will have to get more aggressive and jab his way in. That is what he did in the last two rounds and rocked Harrison both rounds…. And yet, two judges have Harrison the 11th round. WTF???? Anyways, that aside the fight was good and the rematch will be similar. Derrick James said in the post fight conference that he will work on having Jermell throw more punches in the rematch. Basically, they are going to try to break Harrison down like Hurd did.
Charlo vs Harrison and Hurd vs JRock in DC would be an excellent card.Comment

I want Harrison/Charlo in Detroit. I think Harrison has earned his hometown fight, but I'm also selfish and will go to it if it's in Detroit haha.I really don't think that's it. and yeah the fight was slept on, because people looked at Harrison's record and went "he has 2 losses, Charlo is going to destroy this bum"Comment

How I always look at fights is how often the B-sider loses rounds and of course the styles match up of the fight. I don't know why people thought Charlo was just going to walk through him. Coming up the ranks, NO one had Charlo rated higher than Harrison. It was Harrison who was highly touted 154 pound prospect, NOT Charlo. He has the better amateur pedigree and has a high skill set. His issues in losses has been just falling apart late in fights. So he adjusted and started pacing himself better. But then when you look at the fact he is a highly skilled boxer and Jermell has shown in the past he struggles against those slick fighters who can move, I just didn't see how this wouldn't be a competitive fight. Charlo despite those back to back to back stoppages, is NOT a great puncher. He's an explosive puncher for sure, especially when he sits down on his shots, but he's not a killer. Tell me a fight Charlo just broke his opponent down and got the stoppage? Hasn't happened. His stoppages come from landing that big shot to hurt his opponent and then just ending it there. And he almost did that late in the fight, but props to Harrison for holding up.I want Harrison/Charlo in Detroit. Does he deserve a Detroit hometown fight against Charlo? I'm not sure, not like this fight was in Houston or anything, ya know? It was in Brooklyn. But if you are to build to Hurd/Charlo or even Hurd/Harrison II, it makes sense to put them on one card. None of them are huge names so build the future fight properly.Comment
