Korobov being a great example of this last night. After being touted as the next big thing he got stopped by Andy Lee and then written off. It took 4 years before he got another real shot at anything. I can't imagine that being an easy time for any fighter.

David Price needs to retire though.

Yeah, I didn't think we'd ever see Korobov again. It was a pleasant surprise no doubt.

And some are writing off Jermell now. It's all okay. A loss is a loss and nothing more. Lots of guys come back from them. Gives a fighter character actually. Some of them don't get to be great until that first loss. I still like Jermell for sure. I didn't give up on Wlad after three losses and that worked out in the end. Manny had his early losses. It's really no big deal.

It's no surprise that young fighters won't test themselves or they price themselves out of hard fights.

Boxing fans are too unforgiving today and think you're no good if you lose. Years ago, if you lost, it was no big deal. Marvin Hagler lost to some average guys on the way up. If he was around today, he would be written off as a hypejob and put on the scrap heap before he even won a belt

We sit and call fighters protected and whatnot, but can you blame them sometimes when you look at some of the idiots that follow boxing?

Great point, man. So many greats of the past had losses on the way up and no one cared. It's a learning process like any other career.

You had people calling Harrison a bum because he lost 2 fights he was dominating. Even though he's super skilled. The mentality boxing have nowadays towards losses is just awful.

I believe Broner can still be Fighter of the Decade. He just needs to beat Pacquiao, beat Mayweather if he comes back from retirement, then fight the winner of Spence/Crawford before the year ends with a KO win.

Sergio Martinez getting plastered by Margocheato is another good example. Took him more than 8 years to take on another decent opponent.
