Now do you understand, why Canelo is heir apparent #1 after Floyd?

    Canelo needs to be recognized.

And just to be clear - I had him losing the first fight against Golovkin 7 rounds to 5, and winning the second match 7 to 5. Close fights both and worthy of a third to get decisive.

But Canelo's skill in the ring is on another level. The only fight I could confidently say he got a win he probably didn't deserve was against Lara, where I had Lara comfortably beating him in a close contest. That was a styles issue - two counter punchers who don't fight aggressive and Canelo didn't step up until late. Canelo has never done what we just saw with the Charlos - struggle with tuneup opponents. Tony Harrison is a quality fighter, but he was intended to be a tuneup for Hurd, period.

People can make excuses about how "green" Canelo was when he faced Floyd, or the catchweight, but the fact is, Floyd was just faster and more active and he used that to outwork Canelo. Period. Levels.

To only lose to best to ever do it, be in the prime of your career and you basically got AT LEAST 25 more fights you can do is crazy. Recognize this man.

Language barrier is why he will never get the hype Floyd did sorry to tell you but English is important, even Pacquiao learned to speak better for that reason alone.

Grabomir Clinchko barely spoke English during his run yet he got recognized as one of the greatest HWs of his era.

        Canelo is a brilliant fighter.

We can pick apart his resume when it comes to possibly fortunate decisions, past prime fighters etc.. but you can do that with any fighter you want.

He's definitely one of the best in the game. I don't think he beat GGG either time, especially not the first fight but it is what it is. Both are top level fighters that were competitive and had good fights, so i'm not gonna complain about decisions too much when it's that competitive and both are great.

Not a Canelo fan, but will always give him his credit. He was never a hype job or anything as some suspected years ago. He's turned out to be the real deal. Even if i think he should have a loss or two more on his record, it doesn't change the fact that he's a top fighter.

That's what i like about Canelo, and GGG for that matter.

yeah they have had fights that they clearly are meant to win, but they never really struggle in the process. They just go in, show their level and get the job done.

They only ever have competitive fights against other top fighters.

That's the difference between real top fighters and just good world level fighters.

Loma is the best fighter pound for pound. He's beaten to opposition convincingly.

Canelo has a good resume on paper but his best Ws could easily read Ls. When we're talking best fighter pound for pound, that matters.

Canelo is an elite fighter for sure but he's a golden child and gets questionable cards in every single big fight he's in. Its borderline ridiculous what happened in the Mayweather and GGG 1 fights with the 2 unbelievable cards. Nobody can be that bad at something and still hold their job, it reeks of corruption.

He DECISIVELY beat Cotto, Mosley and Chavez Jr. - arguably his best wins.

Loma lost the second fight he was in against a guy that a washed up Gamboa walked through with ease, damn near lost against Russell, made silly mistakes against Linares and got taken the distance by and made silly mistakes against the same Pedraza that Tank Davis walked through with ease.

Loma has a fraction of the fights that Canelo has, and if he'd fought Mikey at lightweight, I don't think he would have won. And I don't really think that much of Mikey, personally.

Let's just be real here. Out of 12 fights, Loma has 2 real quality WINS, 4 bum wins, 1 questionable win, 1 legit loss and 4 guys who had no heart but were never really hurt. They're wins, but was that because of Loma or because of a lack of heart? I'm banking on the latter. Especially with Nick Walters.

To me, Loma is what you'd get if Amir Khan were better skilled at avoiding headshots. B+ fighter, talented but nowhere near the upper echelon at this point in his career.

Dude. Both Grabimir Clinchko and Shjitaly Quitschko spoke excellent English.
