The Charlos were disappointing. No doubt about it.

They were given a big stage to shine on and they underwhelmed. How are we supposed to believe Jermall can beat Golovkin after that performance?
Korobov was a hard punching southpaw. Floyd couldn't even shine on Judah or Corley until the end without being wobbled or hurt. Southpaws are difficult to fight. GG is orthodox. Charlo has fast hands, good defense, and he might prefer a guy coming forward rather than boxing. Jermall will give any MW trouble. I liked his performance. It might've been his first time trying to solve a guy. I'm not too critical of his performance.

To me both Charlos look like they need more development time. They lack variety in their offense and rely too much on athleticism.

I think ggg and canelo beats both the charlos however its a fight id love to see, and when we call for it you all ask what they have done to deserve the fight and say we are hyping them but guys like fielding and the rest of these guys that have done nothing to get ggg and canelo fights are never questioned. but as concerning the fight if you knew boxing you would know they were going to struggle with those 2 opponents. did you expect jermell to dominate Harrison? I actually knew both would be harder fights than people expected. both charlos are good not great and need to get back to boxing instead of head hunting.

I think the last minute switch to Korobov affected Jermall but he should have gotten him out there with Korobov not remotely prepared to go 12. He's forgiven for having early troubles but to end up with a highly debatable decision in a showcase fight is not a good look. Jermell figured Harrison would just wilt under pressure given that he's not got any punch resistance. Harrison has solid skills though.

The Charlo's rely heavily on their power so tend to load up and don't have much plan b. I think they bought into their own hype and haven't developed their skills as a result of it.

It's like you say, they are good not great.

At one point I thought Jermall could be something special but now I'm having serious doubts.

Agreed. Jermell was sloppy and 1 dimensional head hunting all night.

Jermall adjusted better but not by much.

Not performances that are gonna have Canelo/Hurd shaking in their boots.

It's too late. They are who they are.

Jermall actually uses the jab. Jermell loads up too much and poses with the jab but doesn't actually get anything out of it. It's more of a range finder for Jermell. What they both lack is gifted head movement. They're both strong but stiff. Good balance and well taught. They are mechanical, but Jermall is the better boxer with more power and takes more chances. I don't think that either can fight inside if it comes down to a tough grueling fight. But that remains to be seen.

They needed to be fighting more frequently against good opposition. That's how you keep learning and getting better and adding new wrinkles to your game.

Compare them to Canelo who at age 28 looks like a seasoned vet after all the tough opponents he's been in with.
They should of fought Rocky Fielding, they would of looked much better

Canelo looked skillful in two fights against Golovkin before Fielding.

He comes across as seasoned and technically smart. The Charlos don't. It is what it is.
