Harrison was fighting to survive and make it to the final bell. His jab was working but he had no interest in taking that fight to Charlo and nearly got stopped a few times.

What we saw tonight was corruption. There's a lot of people happy to see Jermell lose so they'll justify anything, but that decision seemed plain wrong.
I agree it was probably a 7-5 maybe 8-4 fight but Harrison did some really good work. He countered beautifully and that jab had Charlos head snapping back like a PEZ dispenser. I thought Charlo won 11 and 12 and pulled it out but in no way was it a blowout.

And how about the 119-108 card in the other fight!!! LOL, when is boxing going to change the scoring somehow, it's at the point where every single mainstream fight has some sort of controversy.

Can't even accept his loss, he didn't make the proper adjustments. He even said he would give a rematch and Charlo had to be disrespectful. No class.

Didn’t watch the fight, but it seems like another bad decision, if you are to believe boxingscenes scorecard. Maybe the judges is not just favoring the ‘home’ fighter, but some may also be flat out incompetent.

Thanks I would taking that advice on. Already saved it on YouTube to watch later.

See my other post. I think Jermall either lost or got the draw. All the cards tonight seemed predetermined.

If anyone had brothers compete in the same sport growing up; there is always one brother better than the other one. And the one that is a level below, is still perceived to be as good as the other brother, especially when they both are winning and fighting in the same time period. But the longer you compete in the same sport, you start to see who had the real talent in the family and the one who doesn’t as it is with the Charlos. I could always see that the Charlo in the lower weight division was less talented than the one who keeps calling out Canelo.

And in boxing history, we saw that separation of talent with brothers who fought in the same time period like the Klitschkos brothers, the Smith brothers, the McDonnell brothers, the Alvarez brothers, the Cotto brothers, the Spinks brothers, the Norris brothers and so many others.

Charlo should have gotten the decision. But he looked sloppy throughout much of the fight, and let Harrison land several good punches. The rematch should leave no doubt.

I watched this fight on mute on my ipad at a restaurant. Harrison had his moments with a jab or combo here and there, but he was backing up the entire fight. I thought he looked scared in Round 2.

Harrison got touched waaay more with significant stuff than he landed. I've never seen someone do that little of work and be in quasi-retreat mode the entire fight and win. Never. The closest I've seen was when Cory Spinks fought Jermain Taylor at middleweight and backpedaled the entire fight behind a pity pat jab and nothing else. Somehow, he won a judges scorecard doing that bull**** (thank God he lost big on the other two).

Its essentially the same thing I saw from Harrison. The first time I had sound on was when the decision was announced and I was furious. This is the kind of stuff that pushes people away from boxing, both tenured and casual fans alike.
