Erickson Lubin vs Ishe Smith on the Davis/Mares Card?

According to Lubin, that is going to be his next fight. Seems like any of Al's promising young 154 pounders who get stopped fight Ishe Smith shortly after lol. From JRock to Harrison to apparently now Lubin. What do you guys think of this fight? Lubin was set to be THE guy for Haymon at 154 but Charlo ruined those plans with a one hitter quitter. Smith is a safe fight in the sense that he isn't going to stop you, but he can still potentially give Lubin fits. If Lubin beats Smith in style, then he probably gets a tougher fight next before getting back in the title picture.

It's the old WMAC Masters concept, pretty much.

Hurd and Jermell are on top of hill, Lara just below that, and then there's a bit of a gap before you get to JRock/Brook/Castano/Soro, another gap, and then you're about where Trout/Ishe are, and then under that you've got the pups trying to break through (Gallimore, Hatley, Lubin, etc).

Ishe Smith, at this point in his career, is the ultimate trial horse; if you can hang with Ishe, you're good enough to jump into the deep end with the sharks. If you're not, you either need more seasoning, or you're simply not good enough.
