Apart from GGG and Lara everyone else Canelo beat was past it. The GGG and Cotto fights Canelo got gifts there, he lost those fights. Kirkland we all know he had a new coach and hadn't fought in donkey years. Canelo is well matched, getting fighters at the right time and if they resurrect during the fight get the judges to rob them.

The fact that you think Canelo got a gift versus Cotto tells me enough.

One can argue Canelo lost 1st fight against GGG 7-5, but I had it 6-6 and possibly 7-5 for Canelo

Canelo beat Cotto clearly. Close but clear.

One can argue 5-7, 6-6, or 7-5 in Lara fight depending on what you like (same as 1st GGG fight).

Trout was prime, Lara prime, Smith prime, Cotto coming off rejuvenated wins at MW, GGG undefeated...keep in mind Canelo was in line to fight Paul Williams (pre-Lara/Sergio Paul Williams) before his injury.

Canelo has pretty much always fought best available guys and has the 2nd best active resume behind ONLY Manny Pacquiao

Anyone who can move well can beat Canelo. Canelo has sticky feet and will be Canon fodder for Jacobs. Jacobs can pack a punch too so the ginger guy will get battered all night.

I feel Jacobs at his best can beat Canelo, already beat GGG in my eyes and in the the eyes of many others.

But, although Jacobs has the highest ceiling, he is inconsistent at times and I feel Canelo is the overall better fighter because of this.
Great fight if it happens, toss up - may the best man win.

Consistency and chin. If those hold up he has a great chance of winning. I favor Canelo because I think despite what some say the rehydration clause is going to be a factor. Then there is the judges tendencies to give Canelo close rounds. Danny is running uphill in this race and Canelo is on level ground.
