Comments Thread For: Jacobs: I Can Beat Canelo Impressively, Decisively, No Controversy

IBF middleweight champion Daniel Jacobs is very confident that he would topple his division rival, WBC/WBA middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. Last Saturday night at Madison Square Garden in New York City, Jacobs was ringside as Canelo demolished Rocky Fielding in three rounds to capture the WBA "regular" super middleweight title.

In all fairness danny.. u fought ggg in yo backyard.. and u skipped the ibf ten lbs rehydration cause.. forfeiting the ibf belt vs ggg.. and giving u a weight advantage, This is why I didn't give you the nod. Now, you need to clean up that business with GGG, don't brag about going the distance with him. You my g danny, but I gotta keep it 100! Go revenge that GGG lost.

Is he trying to convince the public or himself with all that b side talk? And aside from a very boring fight with him running the whole time I don’t see him beating canelo and even then he’d have to get past the judges

Canelo’s got too much speed for Jacobs

He's going to need to borrow from the Lara gameplan.

If Danny tries to exchange, he's going to get battered.

Great fight but I think Canelo still wins.

Anyone who can move well can beat Canelo. Canelo has sticky feet and will be Canon fodder for Jacobs. Jacobs can pack a punch too so the ginger guy will get battered all night.

Pretty much all his opponents have said that but only Mayweather pulled it off. Plus Jacobs’ power is nowhere near GGG’s and it barely made a dent on Canelos chin.

No. Need to be an excellent mover, with good-great defense, and a good-great counter-punching ability.

Danny J is a decent mover who can counter-punch a little bit who has an okay defense.

I like Danny J (a lot), but he's not the type to beat Canelo. I still wanna see the fight though

Hoping Danny J and Charlo fight an eliminator for September
