Tyson Fury vs Prime Mike Tyson, who wins?

Tyson Fury talks about wanting to knock out Mike Tyson, wants to be the best of his era + talks about motivation to fight

Tyson Fury vs Prime Mike Tyson (88)
Who wins and in what round?

    Who fought better competition?
    Who hits harder?
Who is the greater boxer pound for pound?

If you asked me a few months ago I would say Tyson demolishes him. But Fury ate the biggest hit from Deontay Wilder (one of the hardest HW punchers ever) and he stood up like it was nothing.

I think Iron Mike won't be able to overcome Fury's defence, long reach, stamina etc and even if he lands some great hits it still won't be enough to knock Fury out cold

I'd say Fury wins by easy UD

    Who fought better competition?

Mike Tyson 88 had beaten everyone around. And he was only 22! I'm not sure he fought anyone as dominant as Klitschko though, unless you count the Holmes comeback.

    Who hits harder?

    Mike by a long way.

Who is the greater boxer pound for pound?

They're both heavyweights! I'd say Mike was the better boxer but Fury not far behind but with a huge size and reach advantage.

    Who wins?

Similar to Fury v Wilder. Fury on points or Mike by stoppage.

Mike much better at getting in range than Wilder. I think size and jab wins out on points though.

Mike is odd in that he can probably beat guys like Lewis Larry Holmes, and Tyson Fury prime for prime who are possibly the best HW's in history, but he would fail against lower ranked guys like Holyfield , hes tailor made to take out the best boxers but hes not so good all around vs everyone like they are, so he's very hard to rank.

If clumsy ass Deontay drops Fury that easily, Iron Mike destroys him. Even giving up nearly a ft in height.

TBF, Wilder didn't have to reach for Furys jaw. Tyson would have to break Fury down or jump up to get to the jaw.

No way does Fury make his jaw readily available to get crushed. Fury would use the Mitch Green method if Mike was headhunting.

Mike Tyson - right place right time. Prime Tyson is a Myth.

Tyson Fury to win a comfortable UD unless mike explodes through frustration and goes Golota style and crushes his nuts for a DQ

To beat Mike Tyson you needed to stand up to him -to stop his offence with your own aka Douglas, Holy, Lennox (“bully” the bully). Ask yourself if Tyson Fury would be capable of this?
