Haymon did not want alvarez at espn when he needs him at pbc for Browne Jack etc. Keep making stuff up tho bro. It makes us all laugh at you wait I mean with you.
Are you really going to try and start this "Haymon has no influence with Fighter A" nonsense again? lol.

Al Haymon is a manager, who looks after the interests of the fighters that he works for. The details are hazy, but Eleider Alvarez seems to have just signed a two-year deal (note the time was clearly marked) for up to 7 fights, while being guaranteed $1m+ per fight, with he and Michel keeping the Canadian business to themselves.

Getting the full bag is going to hinge on Alvarez winning his fights, but he's 34, doesn't have much wear/tear on his body, and hasn't had any wars/injuries take anything from him.

The Jack-Browne winner was supposed to be positioned for a shot at Adonis Stevenson's WBC title (had he not gotten defeated by Gvozdyk); the fact that you think that importance was being placed on the interim WBA belt is laughable and makes you look ******.

With the shot at Stevenson now out of the picture, the winner of Jack-Browne will be the WBC#1 contender and mandatory challenger (due in a year's time, but it'd still be noted) and arguably the best non-champion at light heavyweight.

Maybe one more fight on a Haymon-affiliated card, and a likely trip to ESPN+/ESPN for the title shot (against Gvozdyk and/or likely Bivol, depending on what Kathy Duva does; Beterbiev is still with Michel, the DAZN deal is likely done with this fight, so we'll see if Beterbiev returns to Showtime/FOX/FS1 or stays with DAZN); beauty of representing so many fighters is that Haymon doesn't have to keep his guys from opportunities that make sense, wherever they are.

Haymon didn't get his guaranteed half a billion dollars over four years hinging on one fight.

Having all of the title fights wouldn't have been something to walk away from, but his TV partners are more than happy to just have Wilder, Spence, Mikey, Pacquiao, Thurman, Danny, Broner, LSC, the Charlo brothers, Davis, Hurd, a ton of other quality fighters for TV, and arguably the deepest prospects roster under any banner in the sport (counting the fighters formally signed with Haymon and the fighters signed with folks who work with Haymon, we're likely talking about 150 prospects coming along; all aren't going to make it, but even if you get 10% to the top, you've got 15 fighters to feature on TV, and another 20-40 fighters to utilize as the next crop of prospects are coming through).

It will open the door for more Quebec fighters.
... if the relationship holds true; if Arum ****s Michel somehow, or Michel thinks that Arum ****ed him, Michel will work the clock on the deal, knowing that he has the relationship with Haymon to inquire about US TV rights for.

Whoa you just made something up. LOL. Here is your quote,

"with he and Michel keeping the Canadian business to themselves."

I love how you do this when everyone else clearly read that he is guaranteed one fight in Canada year.

Of course it is a great deal. ESPN has most of the top 175s with Alvarez, Kovalev (Top Rank has options on future fights), Gvozdyk and Zurdo Ramirez ready to make the move up.

Jack isn't a Haymon advised fighter but he is a Mayweather promoted fighter. So you know as well as I do that Floyd isn't sending him to ESPN to fight Gvozdyk. Use common sense. You also know that Jack is fighting for the interim WBA title that Haymon had the WBA make so that his guys have a bs belt to fight for since they won't have any other belt to fight for any time soon.

Believe me Haymon would have much rather kept that WBO belt at Fox/Showtime and had all of his guys get a crack at it but once Michel signed the deal to go to TR and ESPN he had to approve it to keep good PR which you know is true.

He wouldn't have had to send Jack to ESPN to fight Gvozdyk if he became the mandatory for the WBC belt. Haymon/Floyd would have just won the purse bid. But the Browne fight is for the WBA mandatory slot anyways so it is irrelevant. Once he gets the interim belt, he will be able to get a fight with Bivol.

So maybe Haymon is working with Top Rank to at least make some fights. They have their Heavyweight Rivas facing Jennings
If it's a good deal for the fighter he represents, Haymon has consistently shown that he's more than willing to let the deal happen. Jacobs signing the deal with HBO (didn't get the Canelo fight and his profile didn't really go up, but he got 3 HBO Boxing dates, got paid beyond well for each of them, and now has his freedom to pursue a new deal in the prime of his run), Degale/Selby/Frampton on short deals with Warren, Uzcategui taking a tickover on ESPN+, etc.

This two-year deal, if Alvarez holds up his end of it in the ring, secures the future of Alvarez and his family, while still not locking Alvarez down into some options contract that could run forever.

Floyd isn't going to let his fighter give up options on anything to Top Rank, but he's also going to secure the best opportunities that he can for his fighters; in about a year's time, the WBC will mandate that Badou Jack (were he to beat Browne and stay in the position) is to fight the WBC 175lb champion, and the fight will be up to bid. Arum will run the numbers, Ellerbe/Haymon will run the numbers, and offers will be put in. [Gvozdyk has yet to have been a headline ticket seller on any show, while Jack has been the main event for three big shows, was chief support on another three big shows, and also headlined his own smaller shows]

If you want to believe that Bob Arum will have more money on a show featuring/headlining Gvozdyk than Floyd is likely to have on a show featuring/headlining Jack, that's on you.

Beyond that, according to the actual story, Alvarez is guaranteed one fight in Canada per year, is guaranteed PPV points on any PPV that he headlines, and gate revenue (unclear if this is on only the shows he headlines), with no mention of any change to what GYM and Alvarez are doing in Canada. lol.

If Eleider Alvarez wins all of his fights over the next two years, he will have earned $7m+ in fight earnings (likely double that if he settles into PPV in Canada), be all of 36 years old with nary a war on him, and be free to close out his career as he wishes. If you want to hold Haymon helping close out a deal that could secure his fighter's future a PR move, that's on you.

he already had the relationship with Haymon in the US and still preferred this over anything Haymon offered him.

LOL. I like how you say "Haymon/Floyd would have just won the purse bid" LOLOL. Would they win it the way they won the Mickey Bey Denis Shafikov purse bid? Or how about the Peter Quillin-Matt Korobov purse bid? Who won those again? LOL.

Or better yet when Tank first got his title where was his first defense at? Was it in the US or did he go overseas? Remind me again. Where did he fight Liam Walsh.

As for Bivol, Jack already passed up that opportunity and where does Bivol fight again? Oh thats right he is either going to DAZN or ESPN and mostly likely will be DAZN. Didnt Floyd and Haymon already turn down going to DAZN for a Tank vs Farmer fight?

Purse bid thats right. That will be funny since DAZN reportedly has offered Bivol a 3 fight 6 million dollar deal. Would be fun to see Floyd and Haymon try to beat them out in a purse bid situation.

What is more likely and what will happen is Haymon will never ask for the WBA mandatory to be forced and the WBA won't do it for years. That way PBC can keep putting on cards for the fake interim title that never needed to be created anyway.

                      1. Haymon didn't help secure his fighters future. He wasn't in negotiations.

                      2. You must not be too bright. Jack-Browne winner is not the WBC mandatory. They are fighting for a manufactured fake interim WBA title. No more mandatory position for them.

                      3. You just assume that Top Rank won't have anything to do with the Canada fights when of course you know they are getting a piece. The fights will be ppv in Canada and ESPN in US. They will have fighters on the undercard too. Please try to get a clue so you can have grown folk discussions.
