DAZN isn't a bad idea, neither is ESPN+. PBC/SHO has had boxing available on the SHO app for a while and fans seem to appreciate it. They don't charge a monthly fee for it either. I think if ESPN didn't charge a monthly fee more people would appreciate it as well.

I think the core fanbase of boxing doesn't necessarily need to have 24 hour access to content. Boxing doesn't seem to be a "daily" sport like the other major sports (especially without fantasy) so maybe a lot of fans don't see the need to pay for something year around that they watch 1 time a week.

I also think the app takes away from going out to watch a big fight at a bar/restaurant which is also how many of the core audience watches programming.

The PPV prices are a little much but its still less than a cost of a ticket so I don't think it's that big a financial burden.

Fox is free. You don't need a subscription. FS1 is on basic cable. Most people have basic cable and those that don't can still watch Fox. Showtime is a subscription, but you can get Showtime for $8.99, which is cheaper than DAZN.

If you're a big Canelo fan and were used to ordering his PPVs, then DAZN is a great deal.

If you're not a Canelo fan, DAZN's roster is kind of barren when it comes to fighters American audiences care about. PBC has most of the big names that were built on HBO & SHO the last decade.

SHO is subscription based correct. But that's the only subscription channel for PBC. You said multiple subscriptions. And SHO obviously shows more than just boxing. The value of the SHO subscription far exceeds what DAZN provides at this point.

hearn and these uk fans got the big head over a decent champ in AJ and started running their mouths as if they took over the world of boxing...but to be honest DANZ has not looked up to par, cards have been dull, and hearn has done nothing but run his mouth talking down on anything outside of DANZ and is now demanding fighters to sign with DANZ in order to fight his fighters...which is the reason people bring up how terrible his cards have been. and yes these were the same posters updating us with how PBC was failing daily and now are crying people are laughing at how LACKING matchrooms cards have been with DANZ.

good luck eddie im not wishing on your downfall but your arrogance and pride does not match up with your cards, shut the hell up and do better.

FS1 is subscription if you have to pay for a package to receive it. So yes multiple subs + PPV.

Well DAZN has been putting on the most putrid fights in recent memory. The Canelo-Fielding farce was probably the worst "title" fight since AJ blasted Prince Martin. These Matchroom USA cards are laughably bad.

I honestly hope AJ becomes a legit US star because that would be great for boxing but not sure DAZN is the platform to make that happen..

that would be amazing but his fans are happy with him staying in the uk for some reason, anytime we bring up aj fighting in the states all these excuses and arguments come. What is the big deal? all the big names in the UK fought over here... that would be big for the sport imo but in their opinion he doesn't need to. In a recent interview AJ stated he wants to fight in the states... he had that opportunity by taking the $50mil but insisted the UK fans deserved it to be there and he wouldn't sell his soul for $50mil....

If they get the WBSS going without any problems I'll be rooting for DAZN again. Don't know how much I care otherwise.

I don’t think any boxing fan wants DAZN to fail

But in saying that as someone who should be their in their target market to subscribe, I still haven’t because so far the fights haven’t been compelling

So far after 4 months the only fight somewhat interesting to me was Bellew / Usyk . The rest I can live without watching

I’ll probably sign up if/when the second round of the WBSS gets going

But GB & Matchroom need to make better fights , Not just have a bunch of mediocre cards on all the time
