DAZN isn't a bad idea, neither is ESPN+. PBC/SHO has had boxing available on the SHO app for a while and fans seem to appreciate it. They don't charge a monthly fee for it either. I think if ESPN didn't charge a monthly fee more people would appreciate it as well.
I think the core fanbase of boxing doesn't necessarily need to have 24 hour access to content. Boxing doesn't seem to be a "daily" sport like the other major sports (especially without fantasy) so maybe a lot of fans don't see the need to pay for something year around that they watch 1 time a week.
I also think the app takes away from going out to watch a big fight at a bar/restaurant which is also how many of the core audience watches programming.
The PPV prices are a little much but its still less than a cost of a ticket so I don't think it's that big a financial burden.
