That sounds weak.GGG, Lemieux at 168, BJS would be Canelo's next 3 fights period. Maybe even Degale in the UK. Jacobs wouldn't happen for the next several years and Jacobs would need to beat a Charlo or Andrade to make fighting Canelo a mega fight. Heck if Hurd moves up that would be an option for Canelo as well due to more entertainment value than Jacobs. I like Jacobs a lot however monetarily Golden Boy has far too many better options.Comment

Oh yeah, there are so many moving pieces here. Hearn needs Jacobs to fight GGG to so he will sign with DAZN and won't leave to the PBC. And if he gets Jacobs the Canelo fight, then if you are GGG all your MW options are pretty much at DAZN especially when Derevyanchenko is a FA himself. But if Canelo fights say Lemieux or someone else and Jacobs leaves to the PBC, who is to say GGG won't leave to the PBC either? The two fights that increase DAZN's subscriber base the most are Wilder/Joshua and Canelo/GGG. Once they got Canelo it was a forgone conclusion they had the MW division locked up.Yeah that's what i've been wondering. A contract that big isn't all one way traffic. They will have some influence surely.
Then again, they could just be saying this to attract GGG to DAZN. He's still the second biggest name in the Middleweight division and still the biggest fight for Canelo. Even if they don't want it next year, they can tempt him.
It's better to have GGG on your network than not.
I think it is unrealistic to expect Canelo to fight Jacobs AND GGG back to back. Usually if you fight one high level fight like that, the other fight is going to be a bit easier. Jacobs to GGG is f'n brutal but Canelo may do it who knows.
The thing is DAZN can't afford to lose Canelo regardless so just how much does GBP give a damn about what DAZN wants? Unless he gets more money if he fights certain fighters or if they reach a certain subscriber base? You give someone a 10 fight deal plus additional one that just happened, you are giving away some of your leverage. I remember when Mayweather got his six fight deal there was criticism that they invested too many fights to him, and that's damn near half of what Canelo got with DAZN.Comment

yup and eddie said whoever gives danny the best option they will go with. but more than likely dazn will come up wih the bread. they gonna keep that choke hold on the MW divisionComment

Wanting and getting are two different things Eddie Hearn.. I knew this was going to happen they were going to try and influence canelo's fights because of the large contract signing but DLH and Canelo are going to call the shotsComment
