They dont have sleepless nights when they rob fighters of their victories and livelihood. Gvozdyk was inexplicably behind on the judges scorecards. Nailing a home fighter to the canvas and putting him in hospital is the only way you can succeeds in this sport. Well done Gvozdyk! Not sorry for the corrupt officials.

This situation has made this Christmas less merry.
Still hoping for the best possible eventual recovery for Superman.

Too many white knights here.
Stevenson knew the risks and rolled the dice.
Blame whoever you want, he made the decision to box.
It's not always 'somebody's fault', he was being paid to beat another man unconscious not give him a massage.
Not everybody comes back from a war, its not a computer game after all.

Same thing could’ve happened to Tyson Fury!
Fury got hit with a straight right that buckled his legs and then got walloped with a left hook on his way down and then he hit his head on the canvass and was out cold for 4 seconds!
Most refs would call it off but Fury is thanking his lucky stars and I’m sure will be sending Jack Reiss a nice Christmas gift for letting him continue! It’s about protecting the fighters from themselves, if Fury would’ve went into a coma after the fight,
These so called boxing fans and many other fans would’ve destroyed Reiss and said he needs to be fired for not following protocol! Perception is what it’s all about!
Stevenson was done at 41, this mans comment on he had to wait a second and Reiss’ comments about how he’ll allow heavyweights take more damage cuz their bigger is unacceptable!
Doctors across the border are trying to get boxing banned once again!

Give the Ref a break<-----------<<
I have seen many times a human ref was far to late, example The Mercer Morrison,(THINK IT WAS?) was a few shots late.In Adonis Stevenson case, was Nothing giving indication was late.Sometimes the exact situation happens that no warning is gave.I think he is a good man and shows he is a quality ref to study and review the possibility he could prevent an injury in future bouts.Id risk my life with him.He will be a better ref using this experience but no matter what insensative trolls say on here, was not his fault Adonis suffered injury.Adonis is "Superman", he was NOT going to just lay down and let his strap go after holding a half of decade as champion..The SAD AND RUDE ON HERE allowing him to beat himself up wondering and you all rubbing it in,SAD FAUX BOXING FANS ARE YOU...

The situations were completely different. Stevenson took a sustained beating over the course of the fight. Sustained beatings are generally the situations which lead to guys getting put in comas or dying. Go ahead and look at all the times guys got severely injured or hurt. Rarely is it from a 2-piece knockdown.

It has to be tough. Peace to him, a good soul deserves to live with tranquility. A bad soul like Clenelo who injects steroids and takes drugs should not.
