Chisora vs Whyte. Loved the first fight and can't wait for this one. I might order both and flick back and forth though.
UK Fans: Which PPV this weekend or none?

Whyte-Parker was a terrible QUALITY PPV😂😂 I was in Hong Kong on holiday so I didn’t even watch that sh**Do me a favour and list all the great PPVs that should be happening over here and in the US.
I hate to break it to you but here in the UK our bread and butter is British level fights and more often than not they land on a PPV.
The Whyte/Parker fight was a great PPV. Yes or no?
If you didn't find value in that £20 then there's no reasoning with you.
If I'm just regurgitating Hearns speak and it's all nonsense then surely Frank Warren would be showing us how PPV is done?
To put it in context, on that very same night in the US they got Mikey Garcia vs Robert Easter a WORLD LIGHTWEIGHT UNIFICATION on premium network TV.
You’re a naive idiot kid, going on the ignore list...Comment

Wholeheartedly agree bro. It’s such a shame so many fans over here have no understanding of what the reality is at the moment. I mean the standard of PPV is appalling.Hearn's idea of boxing booming is AJ selling out a stadium twice a year and the odd big fight here and there such as Usyk v Bellew and Bellew v Haye
There isn't THAT many good fights happening. If you take the big names such as Brook and Khan, both are fighting garbage opponents. the WBSS final wasn't even in England despite having two english fighters. Then you have Hearn hyping up guys like Ritson, calling him a Geordie Golovkin and got him headlining events and he gets whooped by some Italian/Belgian journeyman.
When your saturday night main events on Sky fights like Okolie v Chamberlain and guys like Ritson headlining, i think it's safe to say that we lack depth in quality when it comes to fights. Fights like that are undercard fights.
Once gets to relatively big names together, he whacks on PPV, it's ridiculous.
Just because Hearn is a good salesman, it doesn't actually mean boxing is booming.
As I always say though the genuine fans see straight through the salesman BS.Comment

Quality PPVs? WE in the US get 2 a year which are usually big fights. Everything else isn't PPV and shown on regular cable tv. Obviously you in the UK gotta pay for domestic level fights on PPV which sometimes cost more a year than what we pay for our PPVs. I pay for what I want to watch, haven't paid one cent to DAZN because there isn't nothing big there for me to continue a subscription with them. The thing is when you have Hearn and other Brits bragging about how many UK PPVs certain fighters sell compared to US fighters is ludicrous. Every decent fight that is in the US would be on PPV if they fought in the UK. No match other match staged in the UK other than Wilder/AJ would be put on US PPV. Hearn is saying Wilder/Furys 300k PPVs is pathetic and comparing it to White/Parer, That fight wasn't even good enough for a network to pick it up and doubt that AJ would sell the same amount of PPVs in the US by fighting Miller.I'd rather 6 good PPVs a year than 3 great ones.
More boxing = good
Less boxing = bad
Whyte v Chisora doesn't happen without PPV money and Sky's investment into boxing doesn't continue without PPVs.
It's very easy to sit there and shout quality but who is ever putting on quality PPVs these days? You're being unrealistic. Boxers are making more money than ever and it's because of the PPV format (for now).
And Whyte v Chisora IS top quality boxing. Two guys in the top 10 on the fringe of a title shot.Comment

So then why is Hearn complaining so much about the US PPV price point when any good to decent fight in the UK ends up on PPV? You guys make up for the lack of price point with the quantity of PPVs that take place. I'm sorry, but Whyte/Parker in no ways is a PPV quality fight however you look at it. And the amazing thing is it still did 400k buys! The $25.50 dollars the PPVs are adds up when you get 10-12 of them a year.Do me a favour and list all the great PPVs that should be happening over here and in the US.

In the US, we have had two PPVs this year. Canelo vs GGG II and Wilder vs Fury. And even the latter got killed by some for being on PPV. Now, that will change next year with PBC going the PPV route and TR wanting to put on some themselves. But usually there are good reasons you see fights on PPVs stateside.Comment

I'm just waiting for you to tell me where all these quality PPVs are.
Wilder v Fury card was crap.
Canelo v Golovkin card was crap.
Joshua/Parker
Joshua/Povetkin
Bellew/Usyk would all be PPV level quality main events in the US.
Whyte v Parker wouldn't be but it was also worth the £20 for entertainment value.
Whyte/Chisora is expected to be damn more entertaining than Frampton v Warrington and people love heavyweights. Is it of the quality of other PPVs this year? Of course not. But I don't mind paying it still. £20 is nothing split between friends.
Maybe RJJ GOAT has no friends, that is the problem. Or he's s boxing 'purist' who see's casuals as beneath him.Last edited by EnglishOxide; 12-17-2018, 05:24 PM.Comment

Whyte/Chisora
Warrington/Frampton
Wilder/Fury
Groves/Eubank
Groves/Smith
=$244 ($24 avg)
Golovkin/Canelo
Wilder/Fury
=$160 ($80 avg)
Yeah, really adds up.
10 cards to 2 for $80 extra. I'd say that's good value. Most of these fights wouldn't have happened if not for PPV. Fighters would fight more infrequently and against lesser opposition.Comment

None of the fights you mentioned would be PPV fights here in the US. If they were they would do Kovalev/Ward numbers or less. The crazy thing is Hearn claims that AJ is a mega star but when he fights in the US, he will be fighting on DAZN instead of testing the US PPV market to compare to Wilder/Fury.I'm just waiting for you to tell me where all these quality PPVs are.

You paid all that money to watch all those fights. We paid for the 2 PPV fights and if a UK fight is big enough to be shown here we catch it on one of the US networks. All those fights weren't on PPV here, most of those you could catch on DAZN for another $20 or ESPN for Frampton/Warrington.Bellew/Haye
