Ortiz is not getting a shot until he gets a damn win against a top 10 heavyweight. Hell even beating Joyce would be good

It's nothing to do with waiting until Ortiz is old. There's no demand for the fight.

Ortiz is not mandatory, brings no money to the table and AJ would get no recognition for a win, even from the Wilder fanatics because if AJ wins the excuses become 'Ortiz got old' or 'Wilder ruined him already'.

Ortiz was placed as mandatory for the WBA after the AJ Klitschko fight

The WBA and IBF came to an agreement that Pulev be given the first mandatory since he was already in line, with Ortiz to come after

Ortiz decides to fight Wilder instead of waiting and then fails a drugs test and is banned by the WBA and WBC for a year

WBC overturn their ban, WBA does not, Ortiz cannot fight for WBA, Wilder gives him another shot and he get's ko'd
so does that mean he ducked pulev since hes fought takam, parker and povetkin since wlad?

as for ortiz yea thats how it happened

      whos denying that?

Nope...Pulev was signed to fight AJ and then pulled out. Takam came in as a replacement and the IBF accepted that as the mandatory defense. If anything, Pulev ducked Joshua.

The same day that AJ vs Pulev was announced, Pulev posted on FB saying his promoter should never have accepted it, because he wouldn't be ready in time.

Then he deleted the post, signed for the fight .. and pulled out with an injury a couple of weeks later.

Takam was next in line and had already started his training camp in anticipation of getting the call if Pulev withdrew, which is exactly what happened.

I think AJ is much too good for Ortiz and would knock him out early. When Ortiz got KOed by Wilder I think that should have eliminated Ortiz as a top challenger for AJ's title until Ortiz had a big win or two and he was not had any big win since losing to Wilder.

Exactly, and I'm not being funny but after seeing Wilder struggle and basically get exposed vs a 70% fit Fury, if Ortiz was as good as people say he is then he'd have beaten Wilder, simple.
