It's not that he's a bum but when GGG fought him it was a unification and that was a while ago now. When he was a champ, he had a claim of being one of the top fighters in the division. Nobody can really knock a unification fight, that's what should happen.

He got knocked out in that fight and then has since been schooled by Saunders too and clearly not one of the top Middleweights today, a bit faded, not a champ and lost his big fights. Canelo facing him at this point doesn't mean much.

Y'know, fighters decline or become less relevant. By your logic, we should keep rating fighters the same as they once were, even if they're not what they once were.

Right. He’s one of our typical Canadian fighters, makes too much money being a local tough guy. It’s usually the right career move here. He’s exciting and glad we support him. GGG walked through his power, beat him like a drum, BJS made him look a level or two below. If we ever get a legit all world talent I’d like to see them travel and get the real experience u need to be the Best.

He’s a bum, but he’s got size and hits hard. He’s a stay busy fight for Canelo. Nothing wrong with that. Now if Canelo makes a habit of fighting only guys like Lemieux and below then he’s hurting his stature, but we know Canelo has a history of fighting guys a lot better already.

People hate Canelo, but you know what? He’s improving a lot, every fight right now he seems to show something new and improved. He’s putting together a hall of fame career and he’s got a long long ways to go.
