Canelo really exposed GGG as being the biggest fraud in boxing.

I mean, his best win with a prime world class opponent is Jacobs. And the only one. Scant for a 4 year reign.

it seems gifted now that he came unstuck on his first step up.

if someone gives u 2 titles for nothing, its outstandingly good luck, dont pretend its not.
Ah, whatever man. My opinion on what's gonna happen don't matter, neither does yours. Wait a few years and we'll know whether Golovkin's HoF bound and how history views him.... not really much point in discussing it til then.

You think the dude's nothing special it ain't really skin off my nose, man. If you think getting thrown a bone after you've been screwed out of a major title fight is good luck, that's also down to you. Just hope you have the intellectual honesty to bring the same cynicism to bear on the careers of your favourite fighters.

    Seasons greetings, man.

BBB side fans were talking first round KO’s and how BBB side would walk Canelo down easy.
Soon as the fight was signed BBB side was old and Canelo waited until he showed signs of slipping. One of the most pathetic 180’s in the history of boxing.
Canelo took BBB sides straps and his entire legacy last September.

Won the WBA regular middleweight belt in his 20th and didn’t lose it till the Canelo rematch. Also defended the IBO belt 18 times. Also won 4 world amateur championships.
            Sounds over rated though right....

              Interesting.

So you feel the WBA Regular Belt is legit?

Because Canelo just won that WBA Regular belt at 168lbs.

GGG was in mid 30's but he was far from old or washed up in boxing years. he spent an entire career crushing cans, taking little punishment. he was as fresh as can be for Canelo. im not buying that "past his prime" nonsense.

Canelo was making his 160 debut against a lifetime 160 fighter with the highest KO % in history. and lil g did not look like the killer we were used to seeing. for the rematch Canelo came off a long layoff and knee surgery and walked Golovkin down "mexican style." Canelo is simply better. period.

if there's a third fight it should be at 168.

People are ****ing ****** if they honestly believe a 35 year old isn't past prime or a lesser version of their former self. You gotta be pretty dumb if you think all the **** a fighter goes through at that level doesn't take a toll after 20-25 years. Says more about Canelo than about Golivkin that he can barely squeak by him by being such a superior fighter at an athletes prime age.

Nelo 54 fights in 379 rds
                    GGG 40 and 196

To add, Nelos resume pretty much crushes GGG's. so those 54 fights should have, by you own theory, depleted Nelo more than GGG's 40 fights.

Let me guess....If GGG fights some Fielding level guy his next fight and looks like a guy in his 20's, what does that say about him being post prime ?

The less wear and tear a guy goes through during ACTUAL FIGHTS is key. Had GGG never fought above Lemmy level opponents, he could have fought well into his 40's.

New rule, guys cant fight each other unless they are no more than 3 years apart in actual age.

I honestly can't tell whether folk are actually trolling or actually genuinely believe some of the nonsense they put out there. How is any 35 or 36 year old athlete in any sport still in their prime? Typically I'd say fighters reach their prime around 28 - 32 at MW, perhaps a touch older as the weights increase and a touch younger for the small guys. At these ages the body may be just past it's peak physically but this is balanced by maturity and experienced gained in the ring. Past this age there is an inevitable physical decline and slowing of the reflexes that outweighs the benefits of additional experience.

There might be rare exceptions - especially in guys who come to the sport late, or prodigies who burn out early, but assuming a relatively normal trajectory and good health in a guy who started boxing (like most) in their early teens 28 - 32 is a good ballpark for the prime years.
