Fielding is garbage and British title level at best. Let's not make this fight out to be important, it was always going to be a stay busy fight for Canelo. Onwards.

Eddie Hearn special extraordinaire. Worst "title fight" performance since Charles "walks the earth like a god" Martin

Jamie Moore had to be embarrassed.
Have you noticed when he got dropped he started smiling? Reason is because he's happy he's not going out on a stretcher and gets his payday.

            He quit at the end

He has just had a kid so possibly crossed his mind to not take any.more damage

The ref said "one more time " and its over, and nelo hit him with a body shot and he initally didnt go down but once canelo went in for the kill, he went down and quit

Was worse than brook vs spence and ggg but noone apart from OP mentioning it whereas brook unfairly got loads of stick

Tough crowd, Fielding was simply out of his depth and vulnerable to those body shots as Canelo's camp had worked out. With his build he had to control the space between them and score at a distance while he did the exact opposite. Poor training, poor planning, although it's questionable if Fielding had the punching power to carry out the necessary. Just because someone is made to look ordinary it doesn't necessarily follow that he's a pay cheque chasing bum when up against a top fighter.

It was a very bad look, Id ALMOST go out on a limb and say he was paid to dive. He clearly wasn't anywhere close to Canelo's level, but that was embarrassing.

How often do you see fighters go down from a body shot, not wince in pain, and just look at the ref the whole time? Never.

Not unless they are looking for a way out of the fight. Someone goes down from a body shot, you see it in their eyes, in their face, in everything. It hurts really bad. He didn't have that.

Everyone reacts differently to pain or whatever the body's reaction is to the big hits Canelo was serving, looking at it objectively the punishment was severe so obviously it would have a real effect no matter what the superficial reaction was. Looking at other fights where big body shots involved there can even be a delayed reaction so it's different folks for different pokes. Too many cynics around here.

he had horrible punch resistance and that is WHY he was chosen. he got ko'd in 1 round by callum smith and dropped by a guy with 6 ko's. come on we knew what was coming and so did canelos team. don't blame hte guy for not being able to take it. blame canelo's team or give them credit for a well picked cherry.

casuals far outweigh the informed and they just saw canelo destroy a "champ" in a bigger division. casuals love ko's and they love that type of narrative. it was a great win for canelo's stature. obviously we know the dude was a bum. he probably knew it lol
