Shaefer’s learning right now it’s not as easy without a huge star when your just a money guy. Guys like Sheafer are a dime a dozen.
Time is time for everyone, but Schaefer is making it work on his own. His reputation was sterling enough that he's already been able to sign some quality fighters to HIS company, he's signed the 2016 Olympic heavyweight boxing gold medalist (who he's been able to leverage a TV deal in France), he's partnered with David Haye's company in a way that's got him access to the 2016 Olympic heavyweight boxing silver medalist, he has a relationship with the money men behind the WBSS (Comosa AG), he's at the table of promoters with Haymon, and Mikey Garcia is likely to sign with him were he ever to sign with a promoter (maybe this is quietly being done/planned, there's no reason why Robert Garcia Boxing Academy shouldn't be a management office for the fighters that work out of the gyms with Robert).

Come the 2020 Olympics cycle, let's see what you're saying about Schaefer and his company, lol.

It's been nearly 4 years with Oscar actually at the helm of his company, and he's yet to develop a single new attraction under his watch, outside of Instagram-famous Ryan Garcia. Tough luck, I guess.

Not even enough to pay for Schaefer's undercard fighters,

Like I mentioned, Floyd was too greedy to share some percentage.
Schaefer had other plans, so he didn't care and obviously wasn't acting in the best interest of GBP, which was almost bankrupt when Schaefer left.
      ^^^ lol.

In what world can you stage a Floyd PPV fight for $2m? Floyd was putting up the money to rent the MGM Grand for ****'s sake.

That’s cute and all but no one would know who Shaefer is without him beings friends with Oscar all those years ago.
Golden Boy went from nothing to one of the premier promoters in boxing overnight. Schaefer had little to do with that as a lot of people wanted to work with Oscar.
But we’ll bump this thread in 4 years and see how he’s doing. Lol.

What a bunch a bs excuses. Just admit you over estimated his impact while at Golden boy and now with out Golden boy he is irrelevant. When he left you guys said Golden Boy would crumble and Schaefer would take over the game with his own promotions? lol now you saying he needs more time he's had almost half a decade. he started his own garbage promotions summer 2016. You said watch he will get all PBC cards. That didn't happen in only got a couple west cost ones in 2017. You said it will take some time watch in 2018 he will be the exclusive west coast promoter for PBC. Well 2018 came and went that didn't happen Schaefer is NOT the west coast promoter for PBC he has only promoted exact 3 cards for the entire 2018 and actually fewer shows then he did 2017 he is not doing better or building he's doing worse. PBC just had wilder/ fury their biggest card out west and had nothing to do with Schaefer. So stop Since getting kicked out of Golden boy back in summer 2014 Schaefer has become irrelevant.

Folks like you said that he is the reason for Golden boy success and that without him Golden boy would fold. Well we are going on half a decade later so let's take stock shall we. Golden Boy is still one of the premier promoters in the game won promoter of the year twice AFTER Schaefer left Golden Boy, signed numerous tv deals AFTER Schaefer left, Canelo paydays and star power has increased every year and is light years where it was when Schaefer was there. Now let's look at Schaefer folks predicted haymon to hire him in his company and make him the face of PBC? Nope that didn't happen. Then Folk's predicted him to sign all those old Golden boy fighters under his new promotions? Nope that didn't happen. Folks predicted star fighters and free agents would sign with him? Nope that didn't happen. Folks predicted PBC would make him their sole promoter like haymon did for his fighters years ago with Golden boy? Nope that didn't happen he barely gets any shows sent his way from Haymon. Like I said he's irrelevant. Haymon don't trust to promote his shows so barely gives sends any to him, none of the old Golden boy fighters trust him that's why they didn't sign. No top free agent trust him that's why they didn't sign.

And the things he did touch he ruined remember his relationship with WBSS? They hired him for 1 job only to get the tournament US TV rights and promote the tournament in the United States he was a total failure and the first tournament ended with no tv deal and no buzzz in the US with them furious with Schaefer. They are in the red and almost folded because of Schaefer who now has nothing to do with season 2. They got a US tv deal with DAZN for second tournament that has nothing to do with Schaefer because he's not involved anymore aka basically got fired. Tjey are trying pull out the hole and debt Schaefer created. And the only decent prospect he tricked to sign with him he already phuked up his career and can't get him fights.

Look where Balderas careers are at? They signed at the same time in 2016 as the other Olympians and Ryan Garcia/Devin Haney (too young for Olympics). Yet under schaefer nobody is talking about them and they aren't active. Balderas has already complained publicly about not fighting often enough and has fought only 6 times since signing in 2016. Ryan Garcia has already fought 11 times. Teofimo Lopez has already fought 11 times. Devin Haney has fought 11 times. Shakur Stevenson has already fought 10 times. All 4 US based studs same age range blue chip prospects everyone wanted to sign them in 2016. Balderas is every bit as good if not better then those guys but he signed to Schaefer who has been terrible at promoting and keeping him active. If Balderas signed with Golden Boy or Top Rank he would be at where Ryan Garcia and Teofimo are at. You don't think he's jealous seeing what Golden boy is doing with Ryan Garcia and Top Rank is doing with Shakur Stevenson. Good luck convincing anyone else to sign with Schaefer when without Golden boy he is either irrelevant or has a terrible track record.

We know you hate Oscar but there is no way to spin the scoreboard in a couple months it will be the 5 year anniversary of when Golden kicked that dirty snake the phuk out and he is irrelevant now. Now you talking wait until 2020? LMAO

Exactly. Easy to do when you have a name and his money to work with.

Saying Richard Schaefer built golden boy is like saying Ellerbe build Mayweather Promotions.
Yes, they had success, but they had the money and name of huge cross over superstars.

I doubt both would have done as well without their respective superstar bosses.
