Why does Canelo tiptoe through these higher weight fights. He has not convincingly beaten a legitimate fighter in the last 4yrs. Erislandy? Cotto(who he outweighed by 23lbs at fight time) an old GGG twice. Dude stop your bull**** already, fight somebody with none of that catchweight nonsense.

          You missed 155, man.

Long time boxing fans have to put up with a lot and shell out a lot, so some of us feel we are entitled to question certain figures motives.

I respect Canelo's skills in the ring and he has an impressive resume for still such a young man.
But that resume also conceals some shifty moves, lacking in integrity and respect. Between Cotto and GGG, he fought Liam Smith, at 154, Amir Khan at 155 then a weight drained JCC jr at 164.5.
Overall this time he was indicating that he was ready to fight GGG when he had no intention of doing so.
He binned his 'Middleweight' WBC belt rather than fight a then prime and ready Golovkin.
Is he allowed to do that? Of course. Is it the behaviour of a champion? I'll leave that one open.
              Cheers and respect.
I gotcha bud. I prefer the CaneloGGG outcomes at the full 160 vs Canelo Cotto at 155 for the WBC strap. Now it has more credence..which I guess I can give Canelo a pass for dumping the strap.

I’m sure he’ll fight wherever he feels it gives him the best advantage and just bend the rules of boxing to create multiple Canelo weight classes, just like when he sat at 155lbs

So far in canelos young career he’s faced the best 147 lber, the best 154 lber, and the best 160 lber (2x) yet somehow he’s still considered a coward? But it isnt hate...

If he didnt dump the strap, canelo 3g (1 and 2) would have been a mandatory defense and been either 55/45 or 60/40 split. That was the issue.
