It will be a real statement of intent if he puts Eubank v DeGale on free to air. It will do big numbers, but if it goes straight to PPV nobody will buy it.

Like I said yesterday, a lot of the success of this venture will come down to the amateurs Haymon is able to sign after the 2020 Olympics. Then he can make some real noise.
In terms of whether the move succeeds (Tim Smith mentioning both UK and US shows for ITV makes it clear that this is the UK home of PBC, unless fighting someone tied to Hearn and Warren, which will move those fights to those broadcasters), the 2020 Olympics may not be the be all end all.
With Joe Joyce, Carl Frampton, Lee Selby (at 130/135lbs), James Degale (for a few fights), possibly Chris Eubank Jr, and the PBC cards with British interest, you've filled the 15 dates pretty easy.
Joe Joyce fights 5-6 times in 2019 (alternating US and UK, with every fight card being on ITV unless he's on Wilder-Fury 2 or a Wilder card), Carl Frampton likely fights 2-3 times a year (especially if he beats Warrington; a fight with Oscar Valdez muddies the picture, but every other fight should easily be available for ITV), Selby gets one fight at home before being a road warrior again (no reason why all of the shows with Selby couldn't be picked up by ITV), and then you've got the big PBC shows to pick up (Pacquiao-Broner and Wilder-Fury 2 will likely both be with Frank Warren, but Spence-Garcia, Charlo-Hurd at 154, Charlo-Golovkin at 160, and the welterweight unification fights, among others, are big enough and meaningful enough to warrant UK interest).
The 2020 Olympics will definitely be key, but hanging the hat on that, when this is a three-year deal (logically covering 2019, 2020, and 2021; with the Olympics being late Summer 2020, that'd cover the first year of any UK Olympian), is a pretty big mistake.

But the actual UK venture? It absolutely will be determined in large part of who they are able to get from Team GB after the 2020 Olympics. That is a big part of why Sky/Hearn are dominating the UK as they get pretty much every big Olympian from Team GB. Haymon will need to pry away some other fighters like Yarde while signing good amateurs.
I'm still not sure if Frampton will be fighting on ITV. That to me is still a bit of a question mark. Degale may get two fights in, but it depends on if he beats Eubank or not. If he loses, good chance he will be retiring or done getting any decent fight.
As I stated, I expect 4-6 UK live shows on ITV. A few of thme on PPV and then the rest just PBC shows from America picked up. As Haymon's UK stable continues to grow, then the more live shows you will see. I'm sure in the next few months you will hear more and more UK fighters signing with Haymon. The process likely has been ongoing for some time now. But since he has the TV deal locked up, it makes it easier to get fighters.

Damn. UK promoters invading the US. US advisors invading the UK.
Sh^t is becoming the World War I of Boxing with this aggressive sh^t.
This sh^t is going to get interesting. I feel like the more aggressive this sh^t gets the smaller the boxing world gets...which is a good thing if you wanna see elite level boxing under one banner one day...when we are all 90+ years old & trying to upload are brain into a robot so we can live forever.

They will definitely be there for at least three years, but I don't think this will be a short-term partnership. This may not end up proving to be a HUGE move, but just another outlet to show boxing and get the US PBC cards picked up.
