Kovalev, like most of these EE fighters get exposed sooner or later, either their chins or they get out boxed by American stars such as Ward.

Kovalev, KTFO by Ward and outboxed in the first fight.
Beterbiev, dropped by bums multiple times
Gvodykz or however you spell that name, dropped by multiple bums and barely beat a 41 year stevenson who came off a brutal war with jack who basically weakened stevenson to a point where he was washed up.
Loma, losing to linares and dropped before he knocked him out with a bodyshot, but loma is suppose to walk through garcia who dares to be great by going up 3 weight classes from his original weight to fight a welterweight who actually is a jr middle weight, but when asked to fight pac man loma said he needed a year to prepare??? wtf???
usyk, good fighter probably the best of the lot, but was in a tough fight with bellew and he has grand delusions he can beat wilder or joshua??

In other sports it’s called giving the opponent bulletin board material. And it’s also called writing checks your ass can’t cash. Foldalev is just making Alvarez angry. This guy will kill him in the rematch. If Alvarez was looking for extra motivation, he just got it. I would seriously want to hurt this guy if I were Alvarez.

Funny how the k-mart krusher always has these ready made excuses for when he loses or gets KTFO.

Like after Ward I: "I overtrained" "So unfair the fight was in Vegas, boo-hoo!" "I was robbed by the judges"

And after Ward II: "John David Jackson conspired against me" "The low-blows to my vagina really hurt!"

And now after Alvarez: "I overtrained........again!"

            Rinse and repeat.

Alvarez gonna smash that azzz again. Enough with the pathetic excuses. Why can't the k-mart krusher show some class and admit he lost to the better man, give credit to his opponents, and fess up to be an overblown, one-trick hypejob?

As I move over here on this island by myself.....

I think Kovalev wins this rematch. I think Alvarez is a decent fighter, and no one can take away that great KO win. Also, history has shown that when a fighter immediately rematches against someone who has KO'd him, he usually loses even worse. But I pretty much gave Kov every round as the fight went on. I think Alvarez is fairly limited, and Kovalev still has more offensive skills and talent. I do not see Krusher as a top 175 champ anymore, but I think he has more than enough natural talent to rebound from this and beat Alvarez, who had one perfect shot to erase the fact he was absolutely losing the fight.

By the way, I have been wrong A TON the last month when picking fights. Just hoping for the law of averages to come back my way so I look smart again.

It is certainly a possibility. Second fight is interesting for this reason.

Kovalev holding his left so low and backing up the way he does is troubling though.

I'm looking forwards to the rematch.

Looks like most are in agreement that Kovalev gets Stopped again in the rematch. Alvarez is a good boxer with some pop . I think he makes a statement and puts Kovalev away in 6 or less .

well I don't agree at all that Kovalev won every round I felt he looked shakey in the first 3 then looked to take over the fight after he hurt alvarez in round 4. but Kovalev was still outlanded in round 5 narrowly. Kovalev was looking to take over then the start of the 7th he looked like he had lost a lot of steam off his shot. I expect alvarez to start winning round by the 10th with it being too little to win on the cards.

Just before the knock out Alvarez would Punch and stay way too close waiting for the next punch. turns out what he was doing was timing a knockout shot and Kovalev reaction time was so off.

the thing I'm wondering Kovalev keeps on saying he will train less for the rematch. his stamina has never looked great past round 6 aside for Hopkins which was a long time ago now and the pace of that fight was controlled by Kovalev. Alvarez controlled the pace of the first fight. Obviously the chance it was overtraining if that actually isn't an excuse then Kovalev has a very decent chance to win, I just don't agree he didnt look great vs Chilemba, Ward II, and Mikhalkin. Ward 1 he looked pretty good early on wining the first 6 wide + a knockdown he really trailed off in the second half even if you had him winning the fight he lost the second half 4-2 or 5-1
