Comments Thread For: Alvarez: Kovalev Is Making Excuses; Doesn't Believe In Himself

NEW YORK Eleider Alvarez's first name was misspelled on his credential that admitted him to a press conference Saturday. The WBO light heavyweight champion smiled when a reporter pointed out that error to him. Alvarez was in no laughing mood, though, when he was informed Sergey Kovalev told a small group of reporters moments earlier that the Russian knockout artist over-trained for their first fight.

I predict Alvarez to put kovalev away after some tough early rounds..I think kovalev has ran out excuse(s),his career at the top level is on the line and he has no one to blame except the man he sees when he looks at the mirror

I still think kovalev has a little bit left in the tank. I’m hope I’m wrong though

Buddy dont give a ***** about Kov, he's only in it for the money. Wouldn't be shocked if Buddy allows Kovalev to drink during training camp.

Kovalev will lose again. Alvarez highly confident going into the rematch. Kovalev can't hurt him. Kovalev loses by KO within 6 rounds and quits afterwards.

Very last chance for the erstwhile Krusher. Either he wins convincingly, or he is finished for real.

If he didn't believe in himself he wouldnt fight the guy that KO'd him pretty bad again. But yeah I think Kov is done

Ward and Alvarex exposed KovaLEV AS FRAUD and average

Kovalev is finished and damaged goods. Good riddance to that commie big mouth fraud.

Thought Kovalev was a bit younger than 35. Can't see him coming back and winning the rematch. He'll lose again by stoppage then walk away. He's done.
