They've dropped Parker's level of opponent to far for this fight. If he's serious about building back up, then he shouldn't have fought anyone much lower than the top 50. Dave Allen, Ugonoh, Fujimoto, Fedosov and Zhang are all around that level and all would provide a higher level/profile fight whilst still having Parker as the overwhelming favourite to win.

I'll give Joe credit for showing AJ the rockem sockem robot that he is. Wlad put some fear into AJ with the knock down, but that was a flash and AJ got rid of him. Joe showed AJ, not everybody is going to feint at the sound of his name. All Parker had to do was land a few more punches and he might have got a draw.

AJ was a rockem sockem robot in the Parker fight? You clearly didn't watch it then because AJ boxed really well behind a tight guard against someone who clearly didn't want to be there and running all night.

A few more punches for a draw? I know it's Christmas, but put down the drugs. It's all about the kids, man.

Parker needs to ditch Barry. If he wants to get more aggressive, go with Roach or Sanchez.

Ugonoh has a fight set for February or smth. It was supposed to be yesterday IIRC, but his head trainer died recently. Besides, they're like, buddies, I think.

Parker's definitely playing it very, very safe. Can't really say I blame him after two Ls in a row, both of them on shaky Hearn-ground. He did make a fair bit of cash on them, though.

Australia and NZ have a problem, there is not enough volume to sustain professional trainers in that they can have a reliable full time training career, that situation at best attracts keen amateurs but not world class professionals.
