I kinda understand some of the things Roach is saying here, Fury hurt Wilder more times than Wilder did to him. But Fury never followed through properly. Maybe because he was told by his trainer not to or its Fury still wary of Wilder's power. But he had him hurt a number of times and am thinking follow through with him but he didn't.

I agree with all the comments about making this public...that's a terrible move by Roach and makes it more difficult to work with him now.

I think its just a matter of perspective, Roach always wants a stoppage or KO from his fighters - which is a good tactic if they are that type of fighter but also carries huge risk, especially in the HW division.

Fury rocked Wilder at least 2-3 times and maybe could have finished him but...Fury'is not a huge risk taker, quite the opposite - he is a risk manager and very smart at winning rounds without getting caught or gassed.

Freddie only has one style, it is his hallmark method, but it doesn’t make it right for all. In fact, I think it’s that very style that got Khan sparked by Garcia, reining him in would have got the points scored and very probably the fight in the bag.

Fury was boxing the brakes off Wilder so didn't need to take chances. He hurt him a couple of times but opening up in front of him is danger personified. Very disappointed in Freddie, especially with the "he said the exact same thing to Isaac" comment. Poor choice.
Manny had JMM hurt, and went in for the kill! How'd that work out? At least he's honest! If you want offense, hire Freddie! If you want defense, hire Floyd Sr.!

This too. Won't be looking for Freddie in future Fury fights.
              His comments were totally unnecessary!

I absolutely agree with Freddie. I also wasn't impressed with Ben. Fury was dominating the rounds when he was being aggressive. Wilder had no answer to Fury's aggressiveness and was only backtracking and running away. Fury suffered those 2 KDs when he was defensive-doing nothing/ just avoiding Wilders punches. When Fury was aggressive, Wilder was totally helpless, wasn't even throwing punches.

As a fan of Freddies over the years sadly I really think he's slipping. Physically and tactically he's just not upto performing at the highest level anymore.

Other than being more aggressive when he actually had Wilder hurt, I think this is terrible advice when he already got caught twice being safe. Davison did a very good job for such a young inexperienced trainer. They do need to all subtly iron out a different plan for the rematch.

But why reveal this to media rather than speaking to him privately kind of unprofessional and undermines a young man trying to make his way through the industry (not that I rate Fury's new trainer)

Davisons inexperience shouldn't be a focal point. Just focus on tactics for the rematch the past has already happened.
