I dont see Kovalev being the same after those brutal shots he took.. It was a nice run.

Anything is possible with Kovalev's power and let's not forget that he was winning when he got stopped.

          I've got a question......

How the F did Stevenson lose the Ring title without losing? Now Ring is saying that Alvarez is #1.

Uhmmmmm, even with boxing logic that doesn't work.

The Ring stripped Stevenson of their title for not fighting a Ring top 5 ranked opponent for more than 2 years.

Note: The Ring separated their titles from lineal titles a few years ago.

I don't recall that happening at all. But given the circumstances, I guess it made sense. He was fighting bums for a while. that said, I hope Adonis makes a full recovery.

Up on the cards but so was Stevenson vs gvosdyk

I had it 3-3 but I guess I could see 4-2 Kovalev. Kovalev was throwing twice as many punches and landing the same amount as Alvarez. And Kovalev seemed to have nothing left after the 6th

I'm picking Alvarez again - unless Kov has made some real mental changes. He threw the kitchen sink at Alvarez and it wasn't enough. He gets frustrated too quickly and you can see the change in his demeanour when that happens.
If Kov had more patience he really could be great but he's wastes energy and focus trying to be too much of a badass. Heck, he's a superb mover, got bags of skill and crushing power but I think his achilles heel is his mindset. Shame.
