No? After seeing the PPV numbers and the horrible draw decision, he's licking his chops knowing his bargaining power has never been higher.

I don't think so. He knows if the rematch happens then his guy is shutout from facing either fighter until 2020 the earliest. Fury has definitely stolen a lot of Joshua's thunder and he knows the rematch is set to do big numbers. He was hoping the PPV would do worse numbers than it actually did. Don't let the front he is putting on about 325k being terrible fool you. He was hoping for 200k.

Knowing the rematch could make both Wilder and Fury big money, I do think he will come correct in the negotiations with Wilder though. I wonder if he still tries to get a two fight deal opposed to one? Doubt it, but either way I think it becomes irrelevant as we are heading towards Wilder/Fury II anyways.

Fuck yes he is bitter. All those shitty cards he is forced to put on DAZN that are not selling out while not increasing their subscription rates and now all he has is just recycled opponents for his precious cash cow Anthony Joshua because he is running out of opponents for him. Hell yeah! I would be bitter and salty too. All he was given was a two year window in order to turn this ship around.

Not sure he's bitter but he's very aware that a lot of the British public now are becoming Fury fans and saying he's no.1

Joshua's whole marketability is based around him being no.1 but Eddie has seen a shift in the past few weeks.

The novelty has been wearing off AJ slowly for the casuals. Ticket sales for the Povetkin fight were slower and didn't sell out and the public are catching on that Fury and Wilder are willing to make the best fights, where as Hearn is planning to feed them AJ v Whyte II, then AJ has already knocked him out before. Nobody at all among the British public wants AJ v Whyte II, but he's gonna do it anyway. The fight was already going to be met with some contempt, but even more so now that the public are seeing the likes of Fury and Wilder willing to fight each other.

I don't think he's bitter, but i think he knows he has to risk his cash cow sooner than he expected before the tide turns on his popularity.

So the thing is, Hearn's always wanted to ride the gravy train and let the Fury and Wilder fights marinate, hasn't he? A Wilder/Fury rematch is right up his alley.

He might be getting pressure though from AJ to make the fight, and so if he fails to get it...yeah, he's failed his #1 client. I can imagine that being stressful af.

I mean if he wanted to let this marinate then sure the rematch happening is great for him. But if he wants those fights for AJ ASAP, then there is no way he isn't stressing about this. Regardless of who wins the rematch, they have to face Breazeale next. That takes it to 2020. And say the rematch does great numbers, then both Wilder and Fury are going to ask for damn near a 50/50 split. And at that point even if he wouldn't agree with it, what could he do? Try to play the PR game where the fans won't give two sh^ts about? AJ for sure isn't going to be fine with this dragging out. But I mean AJ already signed his extension with Matchroom so not like he could do anything about it.

His Matchroom USA play is a massive failure. That can't sit well with him..
