Joshua makes big money fighting anyone in the top 10. Wilder makes big money fighting only Joshua/Whyte/Fury. It's all to do with who Wilder fights. That isn't the case with Joshua.Comment

But that's the point. The only way we get this fight is if Wilder starts talking sense. I'm the one who actually knows how this fight comes off. Wilder's fans are the ones who want him to continue asking for ridiculous money even though they won't see a penny of it. It isn't rational. All the hypocrisy and contradictions are there for all to see. From Wilder and his fans. You seem to be more interested in taking shots at Wilder and trying to minimize him as a fighter than you are in seeing a unification fight between him and Joshua.
You're worse than the Mayweather stans when it came to Pacman. Never wanna talk about the match up, just wanna talk about their guys purses and how he didn't need to fight Pacman to make money.Comment

There were thousands of empty seats for the fight. And this was after giving thousands of tickets away for free.
The ticket prices in the UK are good. They make more money than nearly every fight in the US. It doesn't price fans out of seeing a fight. That can only be healthy for the sport.Comment

Joshua and Hearn are trying to get Wilder into the ring though. They just won't be ****ed over with the money. What world level legacy can he build if he doesn't fight the most dangerous fighter in his division?
He is the biggest attraction in GB. When he fights outside of Metro London and brings in big numbers, then your boat will be true. For now, he is the guy who has cornered your market.
Why did Wilder take less than "Crackhead" money to fight Fury when he said it was a bigger fight than Joshua?
GB is the only market that Joshua needs to crack to make big money. But he will fight in the US in the future and open up a new marker for himself.Comment

I haven’t actually seen the interview Hearn said this but nothing sound so odd. My initial reaction was that 320k ish was “ok” and nothing more. I expected 500k to be deemed a success.
Part of the reason for this is because you were not just promoting a heavyweight title clash but two of the most promotable characters in the game and both whom had a claim for #1 status given their unbeaten status and history.
People can talk about us revenue all they like but simply put England is 1/50th (don’t quote me just estimating based on state numbers so won’t be accurste) the size of America so not unreasonable to expect you should expect significantly higher.
Comparing directly is a bit like saying Joshua sales across all of Europe vs America for example and I know that doesn’t quite work.
Having said all that - I do remain of the view that the draw and the nature of it - can only be good for boxing and both fighters - and should help contribute to a far more successful ‘replay’.
I watched a interview of frank warren where he implied BT numbers were still be counted, which made me think uk ppv weren’t that strong either - but given that it was on middle of the night I think it was probably unfair to expect much else.Comment

Funny, you're one the few on here still drinking the old Wilder is pricing himself out kool aid. Maybe you should listen to Hearn when he is talking sense and not just when he is bloviating. When Hearn offers 35%+ the fight will get made. But that's the point. The only way we get this fight is if Wilder starts talking sense. I'm the one who actually knows how this fight comes off. Wilder's fans are the ones who want him to continue asking for ridiculous money even though they won't see a penny of it. It isn't rational.
