With the fink in his corner expect him to be broke within a year of retirement

Hearn is to boxing as Trump is to American politics. He just says dumb sh-i-t knowing that dumb people will believe it and run with it just because he said it or that they hate whoever he is talking about.

I thought the numbers were way better than I anticipated. Considering the first fight a rematch should do a lot better.

"Wilder-Fury, at a price range of $74.99, brought in $24.3 million in pay-per-view revenue. While Whyte-Chisora, which retailed for a third of that price at £19.95, only brought in $8.1 million in revenue under the same buy number as Wilder-Fury."

So the article neglects to mention that Wilder v. Fury has nearly grossed more in PPV revenue than AJ v Povetkin? Lol

We don't even have the UK buy figure yet and Wilder v. Fury has already nearly surpassed the PPV revenue of $27 million earned by AJ v Povketkin. So it's likely that their fight has earned more money than AJ's last fight.

Hearn has to stop with the nonsense.

If you read the whole article, PPV is much more expensive in the US. The fight generated $24 million plus maybe double that overall.
Canelo was already a massive star in Mexico, he has a whole fanbase of boxing mad Mexicans in America that he's had for years, you can't compare it to that fight.

For sure, but one difference will be the live gate for Joshua/Povetkin compared to Wilder/Fury. I'm guessing the latter did around $4-5 million, while the other one did over $10 million. But yeah, the UK PPV buys number hasn't been released yet either and I'm expecting around 400k there. Though no clue how much the Russian rights were for the fight and how much DAZN paid for it.

Hearns is an idiot. The numbers were fine and better than I expected. The fight made money, the fighters made good money. He's just butt hurt it wasn't in the UK
