I'd pick Padraza in a rematch at 135..

You need to watch the fight and then comment. Davis never controlled anything, he caught Padraza. Padraza had no plan, he just slug it out. From the very first round the color commentator kept pointing out Padraza's flawed lack of strategy to beat Davis.

Again, watch the fight, pay attention.

If I were a beating man, I'd take Padraza to out box Davis in a rematch at 135.

oh man Davis ain’t nowhere near lomas league. Ridiculous to compare. A dude like Davis will not be able to cope with bein powerless and outclassed. Remember, rigo and Walters were not beaten into submission. They quit. they weren’t injured, they didn’t get beaten senseless it was so pointless they just Straight up quit. how would Davis handle Bein out of his league and overmatched? cmon. his attitude problems are well documented. No way he, if he’s mentally/emotionally the same person he has been, could cope with that. Dude would fold.

Did you catch how clueless Loma looked each time Pedraza turned southpaw? Loma is repetitive and predictable and can't infight well. Davis is a southpaw all the way with brutal power in both hands as well. His specialty is the body.

        Davis KO inside 10.
        Post Davis 5 best wins.

Looking at this objectively...I don't see much difference between Tank and Walters. Both Tank and Walters are punchers and both need to plant their feet to generate power( As with any puncher).

Punchers that need to plant their feet and relay upon their power to bail them out eventually get beaten, and often badly, by the superior boxer.

The described scenario is not based upon one or two isolated cases but all, as in every single puncher is susceptible to a good boxer....and Lomachanko is on an entirely different level.

Prime Walters, Jeff Lacy, Tito, Shavers, Stevenson, Wilder, Mancini, Tyson.....the list goes on and on.

Make no mistake...Floyd keeps Tank away from Lomachanko because he knows from personal experience what a great boxer does to a power puncher.
I think you underestimate Tanks skill level. You’re right though. 9 times out of 10, all things being equal, the boxer will win against the puncher, but you come off sounding like Tank’s an uneducated puncher. He isn’t. He counterpunches with power uppercuts from underneath where you don’t see them coming in.

Yeah, he can load up at times, but he’s patient with his shots. Loma isn’t perfect. He’s actually far from perfect and you can spot the holes in his game. Tank has a good motor too. He wouldn’t tire out 2nd half of the fight.

I agree. I would pick Loma over Tank. I wouldn’t be real confident with that pick however. Tanks a good fighter and he would really test Loma the whole way.

He had a plan. To stand toe to toe. It backfired and he should have abandoned it after he got touched up in the first round. Pedraza had moments, and after each moment Davis showed him who was boss with bigger punches.

I'd take Davis to win by KO again, likely with a left hook. Nothing Pedraza through Saturday night discouraged Loma. Tank walks him down, opens him up with body shots, then takes him out in the later rounds.

just like what hatton said regarding pac/floyd.

hatton said floyd was the better fighter even tho pac flatline hatton in 2.
Literally nothing wrong with him feeling like Loma is the overall better fighter. Hell that doesn't even mean Loma wins a fight between the two.

thats fair enough no harm in supporting the underdog i normally do myself but i find it hard to not root for loma, not just his skills he seems like a legit nice guy too.

Compubox is historically inaccurate with a high margin of error.

Pedraza was on his feet looking at the ref when the ref stopped it vs Tank. You guys dont even remember Tank vs Pedraza you just know what other ppl who dont remember it are saying about it. Go rewatch the fight between Tank and a Pedraza who took the fight on 2 weeks notice and had to make 130 on 2 weeks notice, and see if you are still impressed with Tank's performance relative to Lomachenko's after you actually rewatch it.

Solid matchup which depends on two things, Davis' commitment at the time of the fight and Lom's age at the time of the fight. Those are intangibles that can make a fight like this hard to pick.
