The Brook fight is probably more likely to be competitive, also a bigger money maker. I'm not going to be heartbroken if it doesn't happen though and Khan is probably a better fight for Crawford than most of his other current options.

The fact that Brook only agreed to the rehydration clause AFTER the crawford offer makes him look ******. This was Khan issue for a few months now. Now you got this crawford offer which Khan would use as a way out of this fight, and i wouldn't blame him for wanting a title fight over a brook fight. If he loses to Brook now then he wouldn't be getting offers like that, and watching Brook on saturday he and Khan both looked like they are at the same stage of their careers....Done.Comment

My My My! Did Eddie Hearn believe that he was the only one with deep pockets too? The fact is Bob Arum has a very large budget with ESPN himself. He is offering Amir Khan a fortune for the Bud Crawford fight as compared to the Kell Brook fight and he will be a fool to turn it down.Comment

It actually annoys me that Arum has made this offer.
It’s cynical.
There has to be better fighters at this stage that would accept that offer than a guy who really should have his family around him telling him to pack it in.
The Brook fight is well past it’s sell by date too but will still appeal to the British boxing fan and be a big event.
$5 mill or not Khan will end up getting sparked in a small venue in America at 5 in the morning in a fight nobody thought he could win.Comment

Demand for Khan/Brook is getting less and less, and Brook's last performance hasn't helped much proving both men are declining and if it ever comes off, they'd both be so far past prime that surely even casuals don't care much for it.
How is a loss to Crawford going to help build this up?
Both men should just take the big money fight now, as they won't achieve much more. Brook being Hurds mandatory is suicide, Khan is Khan.Comment

I hope both guys get one last big money fight and retire. Nothing but respect for pro boxers who put their health and lives on the line in this career. However, both are kinda damaged goods when talking about the highest level, and they take a fair amount of punishment. Khan looked bad against S. Vargas, and Brook looked ordinary against Zerafa. If not fighting each other, then Khan cashes in vs Crawford, and Brook vs Hurd or Charlo, although the latter is not that big money. Maybe Brook in a middleweight all-british bout against Saunders. But of course, Brook vs Khan would do good british business.Comment

if he gets dominated, which is the most likely scenario, the buzz for him vs brook dies down significantly. And if brook keeps to his word, the fight may never happen if khan passes on it this time. So basically, khan will be taking a gamble that isn't very likely to pay off.Comment
