You're totally entitled to your opinion on that matter, but to say that "Tito robbed Oscar" is just poppy****. Poppy****, I say.

De La Hoya LOST both his fights at middleweight, even though the judges gave him the first one. Feel free to call him a great Welterweight, but "Great" and "Middleweight" don't belong in the same sentence as "Oscar De La Hoya", unless you're saying something like:

"Oscar De La Hoya was given a gift in the decision against possible future great Middleweight Felix Sturm"

        or

"After 7 boring rounds, action picked up in the 8th, then Oscar De La Hoya was KOd by the great Middleweight Champion Bernard Hopkins in the 9th"

Back on topic, I honestly don't think there is a compelling reason, except money, for Tito to fight DLH at middleweight. Sure, Oscar can move, but it would make for a boring fight, and if Tito did catch him, DLH would be KOd again.
The choice is basically, DLH running and throwing light tap flurries in the last 5 seconds or him standing and fighting Tito and getting KOd. As much as I would like to see DLH KOd, I don't think I would plunk down $60 to see it.
DLH has already proven that he can't carry the weight at 160. People say he showed balls in standing in against Hopkins, but I honestly believe that he stood in because he would have become exhausted trying to move as he did earlier in his career. I have nothing to back that opinion up, but it's just an opinion.

i personally would like to see hopkins vs sturm and maybe jermain taylor fight tito or even howard eastman

i think eastman can throw a few of these guys some problems, i think he owuld be harder to brake down

he does get put on his arse a lot like but always seems to win, he needs a serious challenge and fight in america

If Sturm is beaten handily by Hopkins, he may be a middleweight "flash in the pan." If he looks good, even in defeat, he'll likely retain a high ranking and get some more fights against big American names. I'd like to see him vs. Taylor within the next couple years.

Sturm will give Hopkins trouble in the first 3-4 rounds with his speed, jab, and movement. Look for Felix to win the first 4 rounds as B-hop is notorious for starting slow. After that, he will have a hard time getting back on top of the mountain, but he will still pull out a SD over Sturm. It will be controvercial, tho. People will say it was given to him so that he could fight Tito in a rematch because there was some sort of verbal agreement, same as with DLH when he got the gift decision against Sturm.

                Sturm, the two-time scape goat.

Remember where you read it first!

Eastman deserves a title shot or a 'name', I'd like to see Tito against him, he's a legit top 5 middleweight contender so why not.
He wouldn't beat Tito or X but does deserve a chance.
Sturm would lose to X on points , he would maybe give a little trouble at the start but Bernard would 'old man' him out of the fight, far too seasoned in my opinion.
I'd like to see Tito vs DLH II maybe at catchweight of 158 or 157, and I think Tito would redeem himself and stop DLH, he killed himself to make 147 and I think that showed in his last few fights at that weight, also take into account DLH IS only a blown up welter so should never be fighting higher than 155 - 156 and he's past his prime, I think he's considerably slower nowadays and Tito would not struggle to find him like he did in their first fight.
Shame Mayorga's retiring too, I loved watching him fight and his build up crap, remind me of Toney with all his trash talking, totally full of **** as far as i'm concerned, it just used to make me smile

Didnt sturm dominate taylor in the amateurs?

I know the amateurs is different from the pros case and point cotto vs pinto, but I think felix has had better opposition then jermain and would probably pull out a decision....Felix has had more experience then jermain although both are very green however whenever this matchup comes to fruition (if it does) will greatly depend on the outcome.

I agree this could just be hype from the Trinidad camp to try to squeeze more money from DLH if they were to fight, but i have to say I agree with Papa Trinidad.

We all know what would happen if Tito was to fight Oscar and win. People would be saying exactly what Papa is saying. All the haters would come out with their bull**** and say, Oscar lost his last 3 fights!!, he lost to Sturm, he got KOed by a body shot from Hopkins, hes old!, and all that ****. If Tito did fight Oscar and win no one would give him any credit, so whats the point of taking the fight after Oscars last 3 performances.

Saying that, people will have the smae type of bull**** excuses if he ever beats Bernard.
